I know the units are well stocked, however, they are very light on detergent for laundry and will replace only during the cleanings (which aren't often) and otherwise charge. I'm assuming that while at the grocery store we should pick up a bottle of tide or something.

Does anyone else know what we should get? I'm also assuming getting our own coffee (so we don't wait on them either).

Anyone else have any must haves that I shouldn't forget????

We bring:
Laundry detergent.
Dryer sheets
SOS/Brillo
Salt and pepper
Coffee
Coffee Filters
Sugar
Tea Bags
Bacon Cooker for the microwave
Griddle
Spatula (cause the griddle is non stick).

They only do a trash and towel, not a cleaning. Of course, you can pay for cleaning and the stock will be replenished at that time.

THANKS FOR THOSE HELPFUL THINGS GAIL! SEE YOU SOON ! :)

Beyond supplies don't forget
4 inch round coffee filters
microwave popcorn
pbutter and jelly
bottled water
lemonaide (or whatever) mixes

pack a small carryon suitcase with supplies that can be filled with souvenirs and other treasures for the trip home.

I thought it was just me, we timeshare in St. Maarten and always pack a suitcase with all the essentials and bring down, and have slowly been doing that for our Florida trips as well. It is amzing what you save by just eating in breakfast and an occasional lunch, we also bring our old Disney Mugs on every trip, that way we can fill up with our morning coffee, go sit at the pool and it stays warm. Out last trip in a timeshare (myrtle beach) we made chicken parm and realized how easy it would be to make it ahead and freeze it, ship it with our luggage in a cooler and dinner is ready!!!

You're forgetting your MUST HAVE for WDW - a map for those confusing roads :jester:

I also bring a dye magnet. Wool lite has them. So if you need to do a mix load of laundry, no worries about colors running. I bring Pam and a non stick skillet. Grocery shop for snacks, soda, luncheon meats, bread, breakfast meats, eggs, salad and fixings. We eat in at least for most breakfasts and what ever meal we don't eat out!

I always bring paper plates and bowls and some paper cups (6-10 oz or so). I also bring a small set of plastic forks, spoons and knives. We use these in a studio, but even in a bigger unit they help as my kids are always nibbling and I don't want to mess with dishes on vacation. I pack this stuff in a big rubbermaid with snacks to eat while traveling. If you fly, the small suitcase/carryon sounds like a great idea!

PS -- we found a great grocery store, a brand new Winn Dixie with great prices. From OKW head to Downtown Disney area and turn onto the avenue that runs you through the entrances to the DD Hotels. Once past them you will come to a major intersection with a traffic light. If you go straight here, you cross over into "The Crossings" where there is Perkins, Pizzeria Uno, and the ultra-expensive Goodings food store. If you make a LEFT here instead, and head up just about a mile, there is a new plaza on the right that has the Winn Dixie. You also pass a Walgreen's on the left. We used both and saved a lot of money! The nice lady at the Winn-Dixie even had me apply for their shopper card. It took about 30 seconds to fill out the application and I put in in the glove compartment of our minivan. Now whenever we go "home" I have a savings card from the local grocery store!

Also the street that you turn for the outlet center in Lake Buena Visita has a new Publix way down the back.
