Hi acename! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Here's a link to the Disney Vacation Club > DVC Rent/Trade Board

At the top of the board there's a sticky thread called "Important:How to use this Board- DVC Rent/Trade Board FAQ ". It will give you an idea of how things work over there. If you have more questions, the people on that board are always very helpful.

DVC owners have purchased points.
Sometimes they can't use them.
The flexibility in DVC is that you can make rentals for other people.
So some DVC owners will charge a $amount /point for this service.

Obviously, it requires a great deal of trust on both sides....so please make sure you read those FAQ's...and post as many questions as you like...always happy to help!!

Each night of the year at a DVC accomodation is assigned a certain number of points...for example, a studio at OKW (kitchenette, sleeps 4) in January is a "cheap" point cost (8points??) a three bedroom Grand Villa at Christmas...mega points...at the "current" point rental rates - Disney has NOTHING to do with this - each individula renter sets their own prices - run anywhere from $10/point to $20/point or over...depending on several factors, at the discretion of the owner.

Good luck...hope this helps!!
