Can anyone enlighten me why it takes SO LONG to check in?

Oh no fair! LOL!

It took years of thoughtful planning to be in this enviable position!

Before moving where we now live, we were an hour & a half from the Fort. That was too far away.

I too get frustrated with check in. However I keep telling myself--even a bad day @ WDW is better than a good day at home or work

I guess we've been blessed. Both previous trips to the fort were in July peak season. We never waited more than maybe 5 -10 minutes, had very helpful CMs and sites ready. It may be because we arrived around 2:30 the first time and 4:30 the second. I'll be anxious to see if it's the same in a couple of weeks.
