Can anyone eat at Shades of Green?

Just wanting to verify that although Disney transportation doesn't go to SOG, anyone can eat at a restaurant there...right? Is the pricing different for non-military visitors?

A Diser on another thread said that it was OK to eat there. They said that they go to the Poly and walk on a walkway to Shades of Green. Interesting...

You will not be asked for a miltary id at the dining facilities but you will be asked for it before checking out in the shop, the ice cream shop has both food and some merchandise so I think you need a miltary id for this but I can't really remember. You will also be asked for an id before driving into the resort- obviously you can get in without one(2 golf courses are at this resort)but expect to be asked about what you are doing- you may feel a bit interegated and there is a charge for parking.

Shades of Green website's FAQ also state you need an ID. We stay there so never paid any attention, but the reality is, it's like a military base/facility and it's not for public use, except for special events i.e., the golf course there holds tournaments and classes are sometimes held on property through institutions like GA Tech. But, just to walk in and have a meal thinking it'll be cheaper or something is not what it's there for. We eat breakfast there because a buffet is a buffet and it is cheaper than most, but other than that, the restaurants aren't anything special.
