Can anyone confirm how long the Lighten Lane usually is for Rise of the Resistance?

I saw some video from a youtuber who showed a huge, wrap around line outside the entrance of ROTR. It stretched and coiled all around Galaxy Edge. As they recorded this, they said it was the Lightening Lane and each person had paid $18 each to wait in this hours long que. It seemed odd to me that if they were correct that I hadn't come across any other info on this. I'd think most would be very upset and vocal about paying $18 to wait for hours. And when I look at wait times on MDE, the standby I'd usually under 2 hours. So why pay any money to stand in a different 2 hour line??? Can anyone confirm what the average LL wait is for the high ticket attractions?

On one of the first days when they rolled out ILL, the ride was off-line for a good part of the day. This resulted in all of the ILL's to be converted to anytime passes which led to the situation you refer to where the Lightning Lanes were packed with returning riders. I haven't heard of that happening again since then. I believe it was just a one-off and that if things are running as they are supposed to, the LLs move pretty quickly.

Thanks Bevo! Makes perfect sense!

It happened Tuesday of last week, the first day that Genie and lightning lanes were in use. On the video at the attached link, Molly at the 52 minute mark or so shows the long lightning lane line. She later gets in it and it only takes 15 minutes, as reported around the 54 minute mark.

We did that the first day LL was available. Our wait was 20 minutes, but that was because the ride had gone down earlier and we had many from earlier times in line with us. Still the line moved quickly and the CMs worked to clear the LL. Looking at the LL on another day, I would guess the wait was under 10 minutes (unless its after the ride going down).

Happened to us Tuesday, we walked on with our LL+ and it broke down at the good part so we were escorted off and given any time passes for that day (26th). We went to check when it came back up and the LL was at least 45 minutes. Keep in mind all those people riding when it breaks get ride passes. We waited until after dinner, around 6:30 and the line was finally gone and we were able to ride. I was more than a little annoyed since I paid and booked early enough to be able to other things in the afternoon and evening and had to rearrange my day. I get rides break down but it sure is frustrating.

We did ILL 3 times last week at ROTR, two times we walked right into the room. The other time, we waited less than 5 minutes.

Disney has specified ILLS prices are currently capped at $15, however that doesn't mean they won't raise it in the future.
