I am also renting from National for 4 days - Oct. 4th - Oct. 7th, but I am only paying $88.00 total (including taxes). I used my Entertainment coupon for 1 free day rental with a 3 day car rental.

Some very general replies: If you are renting the car for five days, you generally must keep it for five days. Often, that's the minimum for getting a good rate. You might be penalized if you turn the car in early, or if you used discount codes which require a 5-day rental.

Regarding spouse/second drivers at Alamo, before we signed up for Quicksilver, I would present my Drivers License at the counter, there was no extra charge for spouse drivers. According to numerous posts, National does not impose an extra fee for the spouse of an Emerald Club member.
