Can anyone advise me about restaurant planning?

We are going on our first trip to DL in April and I want to plan our dining reservations for when the booking window opens for our reservations on "February 28th".

I know when we make our reservations in WDW, they have to be coordinated by what park you are in and leave ample time to get there. Most of the time we will try for example to make reserves for "Le Cellier" while we are visiting Epcot so we are close to the area, but sometimes that just may not happen to work out that way.

My question is, are all restaurants in DisneyLand within reasonable time to get there ?

For example,if we happen to be doing California Adventure, is it realistic to have reserves at the "Blue Bayou" in Disneyland ?

I will try logistically to get the dining reserves made at the park we are in, but I have no experience with coordinating at DL and and thoughts would be appreciated!

DCA and DL park entrances are roughly the same distance as the DW ferry ARRIVAL gate to the entrance of MK park. Not far at all! Hopping from one park to another might take you a total of 15 minutes. And that includes Downtown Disney too. Everything is within walking distance! No buses/ferries etc. needed. Of course you can take the monorail from inside DL/DTD or a shuttle from your 'outside' hotel but otherwise very simple!
So if I was in DCA at the BACK of the park I could give myself 30 minutes to leave DCA and walk into Blue Bayou.

It really won't matter where you are and where you meal is, it is all so close.

Also no need to make reservations 60 days out. A month, or week is still plenty.

I only wanted to add that if you are eating at BB I do suggest getting a reservation there earlier. BB does fill up pretty quickly, especially in peak seasons. All others I've been OK calling a week (or even a day) before and getting a reservation. Dining at DLR is not like dining at WDW. And as others have said, it takes about 30-40 minutes to walk from the back of DCA to NOS so you'll have no worries there. Park hopping is almost like crossing the street at DL.

Yes to every question related to the restaurants at DL, DCA, DTD and the hotels all being close to each other.

Just to amplify what the others are saying, dining at DLR is way, way more laid back than at WDW. I'd try to get reservations a few weeks in advance for Blue Bayou, character dining, and perhaps Napa Rose and Carnation Cafe. For most everything else, a day or two in advance usually works. If you know for a fact that you want to eat at a particular place on a particular time and date, sure, go ahead and get the reservations. But there's no place at DLR where you have to make sure to hop on the phone at precisely 60 days out.
