Can and do people visit with characters when there are no children in their party?

Nov will be mine and DHs 4th trip to Disney and we have no kids and we always do the meet and greets, we love them it is so much fun and makes you feel like a kid again! It's def part of the experience I would never skip it or any of the rides. We do the character dining too and always have a blast!
