can an expert on free dining pin rates see if this is too much $$

Ok,

I am trying to price my vacation for June with free dining and this is what I get:

6 night 7days days at POP with dining plan with 1 table service,cc,1snack for the duration of stay, 10 day hopper for 3 (1 adult 2 teens) = $2192

Does this sound to high? I dont know if I should get it or not. Can I do better?

What dates in June? And that is 5 nights and 6 days, right?

I used June 5th-10th for 5 nights for 3 adults and the total was $1,770.27

Since you said it was with free dining, I did not add the dining plan.
Expiring 10 day park hopper ticket and standard room at the pop...Also no insurance added. With insurance add $200

Don't know what your pin for free Dining is, but usually the values get the Quick service DDP, which is 2 CS meals (no TS) and 2 snacks.
So you'd pay rack rate at Pop for 5? nights plus the 5 day park tickets (or what ever you choose).
You may upgrade to the other DDPs, paying the difference.

Congrats on the pin. It's prob. best to give Disney a call to price out.

The price seems kind of high Uggg!! I cannot decide. I can get this same hotel for $124.00 on expedia with a $10 a day discount for $114.00 a night plus tax and that is a huge difference but still we need 10 day park tickets since we move on over to Swan after this stay.

i did some math for you...

i priced out your dates/number of people w/regular ddp, then priced w/qsddp, then subtracted the cost of qsddp from regular ddp and took that difference ($234) and added it to room*/10day ticket (no hop, no water park) price and came up with $1960.46

*the room was standard, not preferred... preferred was add'l $101
i also did not include insurance ($133.90 add'l)

Thats sound about right because I added the park hopper option so it comes to a little more than that. Thank you soooo much!!! I soooo want to stay at AKL but cannot justlfy the addition $1000 for the resort. so many decisions!!!!.

Yes the $114 a night for the room is cheaper then rack rate at the Pop but you have to consider the $2100 for the whole package includes most if not all of your food budget.

Think about it. One counter service meal for 3 adults is on average $30 to $35. That would be for something like 3 hamburgers and fries and 3 soft drinks. Then a table service (buffet) can easily run $75 to $120 for 3 people. Non buffets can be little less but also so so much more. I think if you go to the menu pages on the Dis or All Ears and figure out how you typically eat you will come out better than booking your room on expedia and paying out of pocket for food. Even if it is even or a little better I find that it is so much more convenient to use the dining plan.

Even if you wouldn't normally do that many table services, I urge you to consider the Quick Service Plan. When it is just my son and I, we only do one or two table services, so we buy the Quick Service Plan.

Whatever you decide to do I hope you have a fantastic time planning and a magical vacation!
