Can AAA book 7/5 after it ends?

One of my co-workers is planning a trip to WDW in Nov, but their dates aren't set yet. Her AAA agent (they always book a package through AAA, tried to tell her she can do it on her own) told her that she would still be able to book the 7/5 after it's expired to the general public. I told her I didn't think that was correct, but wanted to make sure.

Thanks!

You are correct. Once the offer expires it cannot be used.
Too many people do not understand that using AAA does not guarantee you any kind of discount. You may get the AAA discount going through them, but you can also get it by calling CRO directly. It's up to Disney to determine how many rooms it will release to the AAA discount or any discount. I imagine that some people end up paying rack rates when getting a package through AAA because there were not any more discount rooms available.
It's easier to book using one of the Disney specialists either on this site wdwinfo.com or mousesaver.com. They continually look out for discounts even after your reservation is made. Our trip this year dropped around $700.00 because the Disney specialist we are using via mousesaver.com kept looking out for deals and found not one, but two. The last one was the best so she used that discount code.

Thank you WDWGOOFEEEE! I thought I was right, but wanted to make sure. She can't be convinced that she can do it cheaper on her own, but I'm hoping she won't be too late to book the 7/5 if that's what she wants. I'll try talking to here again, not sure if it will help tho.

Well, one advantage of having AAA book it would be your coworker's ability to use the special AAA lounge in the MK (available only to those who book packages thru AAA). Now in November, it will be a bit less valuable, give lower crowd, heat and insanity levels ;) , but still, it's a nice benefit. Not worth the thousand or so $$$ difference if she waits until after the 7 for 5 expires, but...

I got something in the mail from American Airlines vacations advertising the 7 for 5 deal, booked through the American Airlines travel agency. You get extra frequent flier miles if you bok through them, so I was considering changing my booking. Anyway, according to the flier and their website, they are offering the 7 for 5, subject to availability, all the way into November, past the expiration date for general public.

Didn't talk to anyone there to confirm this, but it was right there on the website.

Ok, I'm a former AAA travel agent. Normally the deals are pretty much the same BUT AAA and Disney have a travel partnership and they could have any kinda special deal that the two of them decided on - so it's possible.

I would advise your friend to double check with her AAA agent, perhaps even get something in writing to make sure.
