Can a single Mom take 3 teenage boys to Universal and survive?

i am amazed on how clear and sharp your pictures are.

what type of camera do you use?
i bought a digital and hoping the one you have is what i have...

It is a Canon Powershot SD700IS digital elph. It is small and easy to use, but it still has a viewfinder. I had trouble with my other camera that just had a LCD in the florida glare! It doesnt take very good night pics tho. Or it might if I took the time to figure out how to set it up, but my eyes arent good enough to see all the little dials at night, so I just click!

Spent 2 weeks there and just got back and homesick already..........

I understand what you are saying about the PBH pool and hanging out. The pool itself is nice with the slide and two hot tubs, but there's no room around it, and the restaurants (food) are outside of the gate and close early. Yes, they have the little drink stand that makes specialty drinks, but they seem to close early.
I don't think there's any way they can fix this, unless they expanded the pool area, make a huge beach area with trees, tables, and put a restaurant inside the gate.

I'm glad someone knew what I was talking about! When I was writing it I thought it sounded silly, but it was a factor to us.

Just wanted to say THANKS for the trip report. We don't seem to get as many for Universal. We went to Uni last year for the first time. My 12-year old son keeps asking when can we go back. Maybe summer for '08.

well! i have finally finished reading the entire thing! what a GREAT report lindalinda!! (i must admit, i was disappointed there were no pics of you tho!) Don't the boys know the "object" of 1 fish 2 fish IS to get as wet as possible? (at least, in our family it is! )

Despite a little bit of bad weather, seems like you had quite the "relaxing" trip. Thanks so much for reporting and posting your pictures.....

The boys did have a great time on 1 fish 2 fish....I think they were totally surprised at how fun that was! I have lots more pictures left and I forgot some of the things that happened, but maybe I'll add more later. It was a wonderful trip.

Late to the party as usual, but awesome trip report! Made me homesick for the Portofino.

I know exactly what you mean about the pool food/drinks at PBH. It is the only downside to the hotel. That is why we always do a cabana day at the HRH. We like to close the pool down on cabana day and we like to be able to get dinner and drinks there.
