It depends what you mean by “runners belt”. I have a SPIbelt that I use to carry my ID, AP card and phone. The belt has no metal so I don’t have to take it off at the metal detector (I don’t put my phone in until after I’ve gone through). The belt is so small I can either wear it under my shirt undetected or put it in a pocket.

Anything concealed is exactly what they are looking for. And I have seen them notice someone has one if those belts on and asked them to go back and take it off, open it up. That was DL but same rules apply. Personally I wouldn’t give them a reason to be suspicious of me.
Just take it off ;-)

I have one that is flush against my body when empty, so I hold my phone and sunblock while going through security, then put those things in the belt once I'm through the kiosks.

I wear a flip belt that fits flush against my body under my shirt around my waist. I have my insulin pump in it and have never been asked about it but it also does not set off metal detectors.

I think that’s different; you can’t remove your pump, it’s attached to you
