Transportation update

Josh and Joanne booked their flights yesterday

Latest ch...chan...changes to itinerary

So originally, I had Wendy and Derek going to dinner at Flying Fish Cafe w/ Josh and JoJo sans kids on Saturday. Well.....since Josh and JoJo are leaving on Saturday, I am changing(well my OCD cohort and cousin, Wendy is) the ADR from Saturday to Thursday.

Plus option:

I still haven't figured out if I am going to do the plus option. Since WDW only allows 10 day max for park tix and I am staying 13 nights/14 days (or am I?), I need to figure out what to do those 4extra days. Yes, I have those 2 passes that my cousin gave me..so I have 2 extra days................To plus or not to plus....

Food, glorious food

Okay, so we have 1, perhaps 2, more ADRs to make.....My choices:

Kona Cafe
Ohana
Prime Time Cafe
Jiko
Brown Derby

Any thoughts?

Very lonely on the Pre Trip forum lately: ...all my buds have come back from Free Dining Heaven and are now on the TR forum............

I know not many people are reading this thread any more, but no worries. I'm still plugging away and having fun entertaining myself.....watching hockey on Center Ice--AVS/Nashville on right now......

The reason for the title? Well if you've been reading my PTR, you know that my family has experienced great loss this year. It's overwhelming and has had a cumulative effect on me. Well, my mom calls me yesterday....my uncle is on hospice right now and it doesn't look like he's got much time. They want me to drive them to Fresno next weekend to go visit him. When he passes that will make 6 family members that have died this year--2 cousins, 2 aunts, 1 uncle and my SIL.

If that wasn't enough, one of my closest friend's nephew is in surgery right now. He has had an inoperable tumor (as well as many cysts) in his brain since he was 3. He's 8 now and stuggling because now the tumor is impeding his speech, swallowing, hearing....He has alot of fluid up there and they were doing some procedure yesterday to relieve some build up of that fluid...Well, he didn't regain consciousness today and are having to do surgery again to try and correct the problem...

I am emotionally drained which in turn, affects me physically.. My energy level is pretty low.....I have been escaping here on the PTR forums...but today, I can't escape the sorrow...

Plus option-if you want to do waterparks then it would be perfect.You could always add the plus opton once you get there and see if the weather would cooperate.
Choosing from the above i would choose...Ohana and Jiko.I love Ohana and want to try Jiko.

I am soo sorry for all that is happening. Sending prayers for all of you...

A little girl that attended the daycare where I work in Rachel's class died on Monday from brain cancer.

Yes you can add it at guest services as long as you have one unused day on your ticket.

I'm still here!!!! Glad they booked their tix one step closer! As far as tix go and I certainly haven't looked at the pricing but what about an AP? I know you go frequently so..... that way you have the option to make another quick trip within the year. I really enjoyed Kona Cafe, we both did! I didn't go to your other choices though. My next installment is dinner at Coral Reef. I'm so sorry about your uncle.

A few year ago I had 4 family members/friends pass all within a year of each other. All I can offer is that it does get better with time. I was really angry that these wonderful people were taken when so many evil people were still alive to hurt others. It took awhile for me to let those feelings go. It did happend over time and it's always feels good to tell our favorite stories and remember our loved ones.

On a lighter note: I'd suggest O'Hanas for a big family dinner. We go everytime we're in Disney and love the food. Plus there are games for the kids which keeps everyone entertained.

My heart goes out to you and your family; I know that this New Year's Eve you will all be so, so happy to say goodbye to 2007... it has been a very rough one for you all.

Thankfully, your trip-planning helps to remind you that there is also joy and fun in life. Two sides of the same coin. Can't have one without the other.

I'm glad you're hanging in there w/ me. I know when you come back from WDW, sometimes it's hard to listen to someone who is on their way.

I have been SOO busy at school this week that I haven't checked email or the boards at all...you have such a big heart; I know that there's so much sorrow with all the losses with your family and friends. I know the Lord works in strange and mysterious ways...I'm so glad that you are turning to Him in the midst of all of this. Rest up and keep the faith!!!!

Another DIS person sent me the nicest Private Message. In it she stated how in spite of all the sorrow, God is preparing me for ministry. He is strengthening me for those times in my work where I will have to be the strong one.......

I found my way over to your pre-trip from your posts on mine. You sound like such an awesome person and a total blast to hang out with at Disney. I can't believe how close our trips are together. Unfortunately, I have no advice on the ADRs you have left to make. I know that 50's Prime Time is closed for my trip. Will it be open for yours? I really hope the DFM works out in your favor. You sure need that extra time with all that God has thrown at you this year!

Just so you know...my itinerary currently has those last 2 days at Pop.. Now whether it happens or not..well that's another story.

We've eaten at Prime Time many times and enjoyed it every time with or w/o the antics. I told my cousin tonight that I wanted to try Ohana or Kona and she seemed game...so we'll see...

I will glad to help you in any way you need. My cousin and I have helped probably 8-9 other families from the West Coast plan their WDW vacations. People say we should go into business..nahh. It would take the fun out of it.
