Can a PTR be therapeutic?YUP!!Addictive?**2/14-I'm home...**

Things to do at 32 days out

Since I am still waiting for my official stuff to come from WDW, I am trying to occupy my time....I am already getting a bit antzy.....

I've mentioned to a few people that I can't wait to leave for WDW. I am hoping that I will be able to savor every single second that I am there. However, it's hard not to think about the inevitable PDD (Post Disney Depression) that will set in as the vacation nears the end....

I guess I will 1) have to write an awesome TR filled w/ pictures. (People think I'm going to take over 1000. Want to start taking a poll?) and 2) start my next PTR when I get back...(2009 is my return date, just not sure of month). Hopefully, these 2 things will help alleviate any sadness I feel returning to the real world...

So at 32 days out here's the start of a list of things to do in the next few weeks

  1. Buy new boxers. :thumbsup2
  2. Buy new socks
  3. Hit sales at JCrew, Gap, Old Navy....
  4. Buy new luggage. This is a maybe, not definite.
  5. Buy extra battery for camera and memory cards too. I think I'm taking alot of pix...
  6. Gather all toiletries together--pack them
  7. Figure out how to attach LGMH to my person, although I think enough people have seen my mug to recognize me....
  8. Do a Garden Grocer order
  9. Get haircut. I want to look hot in my pix :rolleyes1
  10. Starting boozing every night. Gotta build up that tolerance
  11. Lose weight. so I can eat like a pig :woohoo:
  12. Finalize ADRs.......
  13. Finalize itineraries
  14. get fed ex materials so I can send Pierresgirl cookies
  15. Finalize budget

Let me know if I'm forgetting anything...

books for the plane (I recommend kitchen Confidential by Antony Bourdain)
snacks for the plane
check on foreign tour sites for large groups of your peeps and their itineraries.

For LGMH attachment, I like to take a lanyard hanger (for the bottom of the lanyard), punch holes in the corner of the lgmh and attach it tomy lanyard hanger then attach the whole thing to a belt loop. You could also use a small carbiner clip.

YOu're almost there!! WOOHOO! :cool1:

Oh, and 2009 is too long to wait. I think you need a weekend getaway in October. :thumbsup2

Isn't it great to be so close to time that you get to start thinking about these things?? Seems like I've been waiting forever just to think of toiletries!!:confused3 :rotfl2:

We'll be here for ya.:dance3:

We are expecting it. Don't let us down.:surfweb:

I have a question for you. I remember you said somewhere back in your report you were buying or bought some Rainbow Flip Flops. I had never heard of these before. I saw them at the Mall the other day but then I saw the price. Didn't try any on. Are they really that comfortable and how do they feel after wearing them all day at a park?

Since it's a red eye, I'm hoping to be asleep...don't know if it will happen...

Never thought of that.....hmmm....:scratchin

That's an idea......I definitely want something that's discreet. I don't want my family to get to freaked out...

Rainbows are the best. They are definitely worth the price. I wear them everyday....They are comfortable once you break them in. I wore them at WDW in June after I got blisters from my tennis shoes. I was fine.....I highly recommend them. :thumbsup2

My sister swears by her rainbows. She lives in Manhattan and walks a few miles a day in them.

I have reefs I love, so I haven't personally tried the rainbows. I don't wear them at the parks though...I can't walk well in any flip flops...not a flip flop person. I am a walking sandal at wdw type, myself. (sketchers makes nice ones).

I got blisters from highly broken in sneaks myself. :confused3 probably because I walk differently than I run.

My Merrill's are made for walking.......:confused3 I'm still taking them this trip. Hopefully it was the hot weather that caused the blisters...

OK:thumbsup2 Rainbows have been added to my shopping list. I am a flip flop person.

I hope the TR can live up to the hype......
We all have complete confidence in you Jordan. Just be you and it'll be a huge success.:worship:

I am on page 7 but am soooooo digging this report! DH, DS (8) and I are going Jan 28th for 7 days. Can't wait!!:cool1: We usually go every year but missed last year because of a death in the family and a looming house sale and move. We are in withdrawal big time. Going back to sink my teeth into your TR ...

I forgot to add this to my list....I need a new pair as I wear mine every day. Even at church....much to the chagrin of our Senior Pastor...:confused3

Thanks.

If you've read my report, you know what I look like so be sure to be on the look out.....our trips overlap a few days......

Happy New Year everyone! Try not to party: too much, or you'll get  - Jordan, no sleeping on the bathroom floor! And PLEASE take the keys away from Binder!

Park Shoes - the only ones that worked for me last trip were the crocs! Previously, I have always worn my sneaks, but my feet and legs were killing me! Not with the crocs! :thumbsup2

LGMH - I stole a few from Home Depot, wrote my DIS name on them in Black, laminated them back to back, and attached it to my day bag with one of those "binder rings" you can buy in a package at staples. I met several other DISers that way. Are you taking a backpack?

How exciting that you are so close! Don't think about PDD now - it takes away the

New Years has never been a big holiday for me. I always worked on New Years Eve or New Years Day, so I couldn't really celebrate.

Now I just hang out at home.....

I wore my sneakers shopping today and my feet got hot and tired....:confused3

Love my flip flops...

I don't usually carry a backpack. I will be carrying something to hold my camera...so we'll see how that works out. I haven't decided whether or not binder will be heading to parks or not......if I do take him to parks, then a backpack may be in order....

Happy New Year to you too...:)
