Can a little one enjoy the 3-D shows if not wearing the glasses?

My DD will be 17/18 months on our trip. She will not wear glasses of any type. She's a hat girl!! Anyway, will she be able to enjoy Philharmonic, and mumpets even if she dosen't have glasses on or will it be all fuzzy?

I think it will be fuzzy. My 7-yo never liked the glasses either when we went. She was around 4-5 at the time. She tells me it was fuzzy and there woudl be 2-kermits or 2-miss piggy's on the screen.

I guess at her age maybe it wouldn't make a difference to her. I am not sure.

But don't let that deter you from going. Maybe once she is there and sees that everyone else is wearing glasses she will follow along. Make it a game. HAve her put the glasses on for oh-maybe 5-10 seconds and then take them off. Maybe she will see what she is "missing" and want to wear them more. I never would make my DD wear hers. I told her though that she was missing some really cool stuff. She would put them on for a few seconds and slide them down her nose instead of taking them all the way off.

By the time we saw Mickey's Philharmagic she used her glasses probaby 95% of the time....

anyway, just my opinion.

Have a great trip !

The view without glasses is pretty blurred but you still get the idea of what is going on. However, many of the jokes utilize 3D effect which is lost without the glasses. Maybe she will keep them on once she realizes it will help her "vision." It can't hurt to try.

I would skip It's Tough to be a Bug in Animal Kingdom as it is very dark, loud and fairly intense. Many young children get scarred.

Some children are afraid of the darkened theatres, and loud noises, even if the show itself is not scary in any way.

Try to sit as far back as possible and all the way on the end in case you have to make a quick exit. ;)

The screen will be blurry if she doesnt have the 3D glasses on. She might want to wear them when she sees everyone else in the theater with them on. Try to get her to at least give them a try. She might enjoy them since she will be able to get a clear picture of the characters with them on. Good luck.

My 4-year-old nephew wouldn't put the glasses on. Everything was fuzzy so it didn't hold his attention, he got bored and then the dark bothered him and he just wanted to leave. Be prepared for that too.

My dd didn't wear the glasses and she still loved the shows! The second time we went to Philharmagic we convinced to her to wear them and she did a little. To answer your question, YES you can enjoy the show if you don't wear the glasses AND there aren't any scary things jumping out at you. :flower:
