I thought under 3 was conisdered a "baby" and didn't count so we could fit/qualify for a room for a max of 4 people. Today online I was looking at prices and it keeps telling me that we have to many people for the one room.

Am I doing something wrong or has the policy changed lately? TIA!

Yes you technically and legally fit in a Disney room - the online system just doesn't allow for it - leave out the two year old when you are doing your booking.

I have been told that an under 3 year old does not count as part of the max people count for a room. If you are doing it online I think that you can put the poeple in leaving off the 2 year old and then after you select resort modify the number of people to addd the 2 year old. I think that is how I did it and it then included the little one. Or the easier way -just call to make the reservation. Beware through some of the phone reps will say that the under 3 child does count just call back until you get one that agrees that they do not count.

On another note: A value with the 5 of you would be awfully crowded. Not saying it cannot be done but... My 2 year old will not use a pack and play then that leaves her with no bed (we have an 8 and 9 year old also) unless she shares with DH and me -bed is too small for that!! We decided for our next trip that we will get two rooms at a value to give us more room and the ability to be awake while kids are sleeping.

As others have posted, you have to call if you want to include your "under 3" yo on your reservation.

Over the Memorial Weekend, we stayed at CSR in one room. I was a bit nervous moving from AKL (where we had spent the previous 8 days) to a moderate but glad to get a room on-site. (Midway through our visit, we decided to stay 2 more days. We didn't factor in the holiday weekend. EVERYTHING around was booked. We finally lucked into a cancellation.) To make a long story short, we did great. We loved CSR and will consider staying in a moderate again. We had plenty of room. We didn't even use the pack-n-play for our 2.5 yo dd. The little ones (dd and almost 5 yo ds) fell asleep in one of the full beds. I ended up sleeping with them, while our older almost 13 yo ds slept with his dad. No problem.

You could fit very comfortably in the Alligator Bayou section of Port Orleans Riverside, which is a moderate. They have trundle beds. We fit quite nicely when our three children were younger. Unfortunately, now that they are older and larger..we are having to move up to a deluxe to fit in one room. Not too many choices other than two rooms at a moderate or value, which with the discount I received was no better. So we're off to the Beach Club in two days! :goodvibes

Our first trip we stayed at POR (2 adults, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr olds) and it was fine. In fact every trip we stay at POR. This year again only now the kids are (11,8 and 6). We are only in the room a little bit everyday, my two girls share one bed and my son uses the trundle.
