I want to book a trip during the free dining deal this fall. I have an old adult Park Hopper ticket with 5 days left on it. I was wondering if I could book the trip with 2- 2 day tickets (one would be adult and one child) and just let my younger DD use the adult ticket as well as the child's ticket. We just need 4 days for her.

Thanks.

I'm confused... how many days are you going for? You are only buying two 2 day tickets, and then you want to share the old adult ticket for the remainder of your trip? A ticket can only be used once a day, so if you use it then your daughter can't use it the same day. Yes, they will let a child use an adult ticket I'm pretty sure but she would have to be the only one using it the days you want her to use it. So if you are going 4 days then she could use the old ticket the first 2 days while you use the new adult ticket and then the 3-4th days she could use her new ticket and you could use up the old ticket (though you'll still have a day left over since it has 5 days left now).
Does that answer the question? Or did I totally miss what you were saying?

Sorry to confuse. I think we will be in the parks 4 days. I was going to let her use the tickets included in the package (one adult and one child), and I was going to use the old hopper.

I'm wondering if the biometric finger scanning will be an issue with what you are hoping to do. :confused3

We would not be "sharing" a ticket. She would be the only person using the adult ticket.

Okay, that makes sense now :) I don't see any reason why she wouldn't be able to use the adult ticket.

They did not let my dd (8) use an adult ticket to get into the water parks one time. I did not press the issue, the cm just said- that's an adult ticket and I said -oh sorry and gave her the new child ticket. I was trying to get her to use my mom's old ticket that had 4 water park days on it left over.

We are going in Dec. and we have old hopper tickets from 2 yrs. ago with 1 day left on them. 3 are adult tickets and 1 is a child ticket. This year it will be me, DH, DD8 and DS4. Last trip the other adult ticket was my mom's and my son was free. So, we wanted to know if our son or daughter (whichever one) can use one of the adult tickets. We use Dreams Unlimited and our agent said she wasn't sure but she would check with Disney. She got back with me and said that Disney told her yes, that a child can use an adult ticket, but an adult cannot use a child's ticket (Obviously). So, we shall see when we arrive in Dec. if this is in fact true. Hopefully we will not have a problem. If anyone has done this recently please let us know if in fact you can or not. Thanks!

I would think if you bought a new adult ticket for a child, then there wouldn't be a problem. However using a previously used adult ticket for a child would probably send up warning flags that someone other than the purchaser was using the ticket.

If that adult ticket was used before the only person that can 'legally' use it is the person that used it before. All WDW tickets are non-transferable.

But I guess if the ticket was used before the biometric scanners WDW would be none the wiser. It's up to you.

I used an adult ticket for DS a couple of years ago. We bought specially priced park hoppers throught the Wide World of Sports. They only had adult park hoppers but they were still cheaper than a regularly priced child's hopper so we bought it. No one said a word about it when we used it to get in the parks. He was only 3 at the time so they obviously knew he wasn't an adult.
