Fair enough. We're looking at a a full gut on our kitchen in the next few years and I had a bit of sticker shock there for a second.

I would budget $200k if you want it done right. We spent $180k in 2021. It was a full gut down to the studs. About 10'x16'. I wanted the job done right. Now we are getting 5 new windows. $32k. Everything costs more.

I think our full gut cost ~$70k in 2018. I should mention, though, that while we got what we wanted, we didn't go all-out on fancy appliances or finishes, and we didn't change the footprint. We needed a solid, serviceable kitchen for a family of 6.
