Hello everyone. We've got a trip to Disney World planned for this fall (September) and I'm worried about our 4 yo daugther. She is a high-energy kid, but I don't know if she is going to be able to hang in there for a week of Disney with her older brothers. Anyone have experience with this?

My In-Laws live in Lakeland, FL so I'm thinking about leaving her with Grandma and Grandpa for a day or two. My wife thinks she'll be fine for the week of Disney, but I'm not so sure. Any thoughts?

The first time we went our daughter had just turned four and she was fine. On our trip last year our youngest was 22 months and she also did well. I eliminated naps and just let them go all day long. By the time we got back to the hotel they would zonk out until morning, it was wonderful :goodvibes

DesigningMouse,

Thanks for the encouragement. I still like the idea of letting her visit the grandparents for a day or two

Thanks,
Rich

my ds went at 15 mo, 3yo, 4yo, and dd went at 9 mo and 18 mo.
we are heading back this aug they both did fine everytime. sometimes we went from 8 am til 12 midnight. they would just fall out in the stroller. of course you could take her the 1st 2 days or so and then give her the option she might prefer some one on one time with the grandparents or maybe take them along for the day maybe at disney studios and they could see a/c shows like the little mermaid and playhouse disney while you ride rnr and tot. i think she will do great and have a fabulous time enjoy

She'll be fine. Just follow her lead and have a reclinging stroller, so she can crash on the go.

Are you planning to hold up with the big brothers?

Im going in Nov. with my 3.... 2 boys 17, 14 and a 4 year old girl. She too has a lot of energy, but Disney requires a different type. Walking around, larger than normal breakfasts and the sun take their toll on people of all ages.

I have planned to go to the parks early, eat lunch, then head back to the resort for a rest. No doubt she will nap. Hopefully she'll be up by 4/4:30 and ready to go again. If your boys are old enough, maybe they can stay at the parks by themselves. If not, bring them back to your resort for a swim while she is napping then head back out. I think it will do a world of good for the whole family. You wont need a vacation after your vacation!!

Last Nov, my family did 5 days at Disney and 3 at Universal
My youngest was 4 and he did great! Just make sure to take breaks
and use the stroller, it's alot of walking for them

i sure hope so. We leave next week for 16 days and will have 8 children with us including three 4 yr olds!

she should be fine, all you need is a good stroller and dont forget to take breaks through out the day

She'll be just fine! We went with my son when he had just turned 3, and took plenty of breaks, and tried to keep some things "normal", like naptime etc. we would always head back to the room for a 2 hour break in the afternoon... Also, remember that she is going to look at things differently from the boys - take lots of time to smell the roses - for my son it was the best part (all the little things that make disney magical) Oh, and a good stroller, a bag of snacks and entertainment and fair amount of paticence will go a long way :) Enjoy yourselves!

Wow. Thanks for all the encouragement. We haven't pushed Kate in a stroller in many months, but that is a great tip.

Collcass ~ Three 4 year olds? I hope you've got a lot of help!
