Can 2 members combine for a single reservation?

Hi there,
Before calling DVC support, can anyone here share any experiences with combining reservations with another member? My sister and I are both members. We are looking at a combined family vacation (9 people total) and altogether our points will get us at least a 2br villa. I'm guessing this is possible.

you would have to -

1) transfer pts from one contract into the other contract, or

2) you would book the first few nights and your sister would call and book the next few nights and ask MS to link the reservations.

(if you don't have the same home resort, you will have to wait till the 7 month window to book.)

Both options will have the same end result: If the reservations are linked, then they are considered to be "one reservation" from the check-in/check-out/housekeeping point of view.

No matter which way you do it, transfer points, or link two reservations, you will check in on the same day, no need to check out, keep your room keys, and housekeeping will still be the same.

You could transfer points and still take turns with the master bedroom. Just switch whenever you want to.

We do this frequently with our daughter who has her own contract. We just do a three-way call and handle it all at once. We split up the points somewhat evenly by booking certain nights on our points and other nights on hers so that they come out relatively (no pun intended) close.
