Campo Portofino (kids club?

Anybody have any experience with Campo Portofino? Did your kids like it? I would just love to have a nice dinner with dh without the kids and I am thinking about trying it.

I would appreciate any information you can give.

All I know is that its located next to the Beach Pool and it's $12/hr/kid.

If it's run anything like the pool activities, your kids will have a blast. My DS (11) didn't want to leave the pool area when it was time to get ready for dinner because of all of the fun things the employees were doing with the kids. When one activity would end, they'd give the kids about 5-minutes to swim and then they'd collect them to do something else.

We used this last August. My two kids enjoyed it - there were only a few kids and the facilities were pretty nice. The only irritating thing was that on top of the $12/hr, they also charged $12 per kids meal. Made for an expensive night out for DW and me.

We had our three kids in Campo Portofino two summers ago. I also found the meal expensive and if I did it again, I would have them eat first. My kids (who were 11, 6, and 4 at the time) thought it was pretty boring. But I guess after Spider-man and the Flying Unicorn, doing some ho-hum crafts and computer games is going to seem boring. But while they weren't thrilled about it, they weren't miserable either and it was definitely worth it to have some couple time. I've never used Disney's kids clubs, but from what I hear they are a lot more fun and it would be nice if Universal could do better in this area (especially considering what it costs). I'm glad my oldest can babysit the other two now, so that will save us some bucks when we go next month.
