Hi all!! My kids heard about this campfire and would really like to do it. My kids are 16,13 and 9 - are they to old for this?? They love Chip and Dale and campfires, but I wasn't sure if this was geared to a certain age.

Thanks!
Kimba

Nope, they should love it. They meet the requirements of loving a campfire and loving C&D. Are you staying at FW or elsewhere on Disney property? If so, when you check in ask to get a copy of the movie schedule and pick a night with a movie the family will like.

Dinner at Trails End
Campfire/ C&D
Movie
Wagon Ride
carriage Ride
Wander down to the beach to watch the MK fireworks over the water

Mix & match for a great family evening!

I'm 45 and even I loved it. I got to sing the old Mickey Mouse Club song and make my hands into ears on the top of my head. I didn't even feel silly since everyone else was doing it.

No ONE is ever too old for smores !!!
Or hotdogs,,or cozy campfires, or , well, you get the picture. Ya'll will have a great time ! Not to mention MOVIES and a sing a long.:thumbsup2

I just made a schedule for an adult singles group I'm bringing to the Fort in Dec. and we are doing the campfire 2 times...i even bought 3 new roasting forks just for the trip!!! your family will enjoy it!!!!

This 40yr old kid LOVES the campfire & movie...most kids have never been to a drive in movie...and thats what the campfire reminds me of, the old drive-ins from when I was a kid. My kids really enjoy them as well....save some money and bring your own supplies for smores and softdrinks, lots of people even bring their own hotdogs!!! Dont forget the beer!!! Only LITE beer for the kids though!!;)

Thank you all so much!!! I was worried that it would only be young kids. Glad to hear everyone can enjoy it!!

We plan on eating at Trails End then heading over to the campfire. I use a wheelchair. Is everything accessible? Is an hour long enough for dinner?

Thanks Again!

don't lie, you would have done it even if no one else did.

if I remember correctly there is peagravel around the campfire area so strong arms will be needed if you have a manual w/c. but yes everything is w/c assessible! Have a great time!!!

Well Semper Fi!

I love campfires even when I'm not at WDW. I prefer a good dry, Merlot with my smores. I'm older than anyone else who has posted up to now!

Hmmmm, that reminds me, Gotta go get some more wine for the next camping trip.

I really do enjoy fires.

Hmmmm - Merlot and smores. Al, you are a true enigma; a study of contrasts; the ying and yang of camping.

And I guess I am probably the second oldest to post here, and I like the campfire program, too.

So, it's no problem to bring your own s'mores makings? And consuming adult beverages at the campfire is okay, or do they need to be in concealed containers?

Bumping Jim out of the "second place" spot!! I'm probably smack dab in the middle - age wise! Yes Jim...Al IS a true enima (er I mean) ENIGMA!!

I'm a FtW Campfire Program afficianato! Always have been, always will be!! I've been going there since before there were any benches and bleachers. There was no gravel - just grass - and you either brought lawn chairs or a blanket. Actually, there were no campfires, either. Just a sing-a-long and a movie. The first movie I saw at FtW was "Snowball Express". Due to the fact I saw it for the first time at FtW, it is my second favorite Disney movie. First place goes to the original version of "The Incredible Journey", circa 1963. I've never seen that one at FtW. I love it!!!:lovestruc
