I'm on the phone with DL right now to settle a debate with my DH. My DH thinks we can bring a camp chair (small three legged chair) INTO the park. Yes or No?
If someone in your party is disabled & needs easy access to seating, he or she should seriously consider renting a scooter or wheelchair. I don't think that you should bring in a camp chair. It's a theme park, not a camp ground.
** Edited to add **
Just think about the logistics for Cast Members if people started bringing in picnic & camping chairs into DL & DCA. It's hard enough for them to maneuver everyone's strollers so there's enough walk-way space. Where would you stash the camp chair on rides like Space Mountain or the Matterhorn?
If you were going to the beach & staking out a good spot on the beach to watch 4th of July fireworks? That's totally different.
Well if he really plan to hold out a spot for 90 -120 minutes, there are plenty of benches in the hub near the curbs. Look for the benches that are on the narrower sidewalks. It's worked nice for us. The people in front of the benches sat on the ground and curb during the parade. Had a great view of everything.
Just returned yesterday and there was a man using a small camp chair to wait for the parade. It was on the corner right by the Emporium. CM's didn't seem to have an issue with it. He sat there for around 4 hours in it...

Like most things, there are the written rules and then there are how the rules are enforced in the parks. DLR does seem inconsistent in terms of applying some of the rules, but in the end, they can choose to enforce the rules if they want. So a guest could try to bring in a camp chair and use it, but they may be denied entry at security or be asked to put it away if caught using it in the parks. It all depends on which CMs the guest comes across that day.

I always notice these people that get a spot for the fireworks or parade and guard it with there life for hours? I always just wait till about 5min. before it starts and always seem to find a good spot to squeeze into. One time i must have squeezed into some ones space the guy got so mad he started yelling, I'm saving these spots for my family ( all 15 of them ) i told him thats cool when they all arrive we will squeeze every one in, kids up front. He was really up set and just really felt we took his home. He just kept yelling louder and louder till one of the cast members came over to see what it was all about? I could hear them talking with him telling him every one payed for a ticket just like him and we had the right to stand at that spot just like he did. He wouldn't let it go and came back and kept yelling and screaming all threw the parade the guy was really up set. His poor wife and kids where so embarrassed, but i really felt sorry for the guy. Good thing I'm 6'4" 210 or i think he would have hit me….lol...
