How did you secure them? I am thinking a carabiner on the neck strap of my DSLR, but don't know if that is considered good enough. I am interested in getting some wildlife shots, but this would really be the only time I will bring the DSLR to the park (I don't want to be carrying it around for the whole nine days). I am pondering not even bringing it on the trip at all. Do the PhotoPass photogs give you plenty of good photos? I understand that there are some wildlife photos included with the tour, too. Is that correct? Are they good?

I thought the shots taken by our guides were good, but I also enjoyed taking my own. I'm the type of person who is always afraid of dropping my phone when taking pictures over a ledge or water, but I took my DSRL with just the neck strap and it was fine. I will say, their animal shots turned out better than mine, and I used mostly their photos when printing a photo book. However, that may say more about me than them. ;-)

Have fun!

We took our camera and they were able to secure it to my vest with a carabiner. I would take it. They do take some great shots but I got some that they missed due to taking other folks' pictures. The guides were nice enough to help us secure everything.

I took my DSLR and was very glad I did. Their pics were good, but I got great shots in between of the kids. My regular neck strap was just fine -- didn't need to do anything unusual.

I did the Trek yesterday. I didn't bring a camera but my friend had a neck strap camera. They said a wrist strap was acceptable but I think they would have tied it to your safety vest to be sure it didn't fall into the animal areas. They put safety strings on our glasses.

We just looked at our photos, it takes 24 hours to download to their site. There were 199 photos, includes everyone's candids plus animal pictures.
