Who else is waiting to purchase the Canon sd1100 is?

I can't wait until it is available!!! I want to learn how to use it before my April trip.

Hi there,
Did you get the SD1100? If so, how do you like it? We are looking at getting something like this. We currently have a Canon 20D but want something a little smaller.

YES I did get the camera!! I love the camera, so small fits in my pocket! Pictures are great, Great features-- love the rechargeable battery, My 8 day stay I only had to charge once in the middle of the trip took over 450 pics -- My fave feature is take black/white pic with an emphasis on just one color. Thanks for the info. I tried clicking on the links, but I can't see anything.

Did you take any night shots while you were there? If so, would you mind sharing some of those? We have heard that the camera takes great day time pictures, but not so good night time pictures.

We are going to WDW Sept 7 - 19 and will be attending the MNSSHP and want to take pictures at the party. DH doesn't want to carry around the big camera, so this would be ideal if the night time pictures were good

What is the setting that you use to get the b/w with one color effect?? Will other cameras do this?

Some cameras might do this, but most people tend to do this in a photo editor on their computer, you can do it to any photo and if you dont like the results you still have the original full color photo.

What photo editor would you be using?

The technique is called "selective color" there have been numerous threads with tutorials and galleries here on DIS. But depending on what software you have you can do a google search and find many ways to do it.
