Camera Bags for DSLRs??

What kind of bag do you carry in the parks for your DSLR Cameras?

I am looking for a good one for our September trip

Dh got a Lowpro 200 for Christmas and he loves it. It holds all of the gear he wants to tote around Disney and has a bit of leftover room for other things.

For the parks I use a Lowepro Sling 200 AW (All Weather), I keep a few plastic bags in it for the wet rides. It's got enough room for my 7D, a couple of lenses and everything I need to get through the day in the parks.

I have a Lowepro Slingshot 102 and have taken it on several day trips and love it. It is nice because you never have to take it off to reach the camera or lenses. I'm looking forward to bringing on our first trip in May.

I've struggled with this for numerous trips and finally have been happy with what I managed for this trip...it's not perfect, but it's better than chasing dh down and digging the camera out of his backpack!

I use the same bag. I don't bother with plastic bags for the wet rides though, I just use the included all weather cover that pulls out of the bottom of the bag.

I'm just paranoid, the last AW bag I had didn't survive Kali - so I put a few plastic bags in just in case. I'll try it out again in a few weeks.

we used a lowepro 200AW good bag for pretty much everything. We had a D5000 with 2 extra lens,etc.... also you might go to the Photography board and ask, alot of folks with experience on there to answer.

I love it. And yes, I bring it on rides with me. Works just fine. Holds everything.

We have many bags, but the two we use the most are the Lowepro Slingshot 200 and the Fastpack 200. The Slingshot is smaller and works well for the DW with her external flash and kit lenses (18-55 and 50-200). She likes to go lighter than I. I use the the slightly larger Fastpack because I use the vertical grip and in addition to my walkaround (28-70mm f2.8), I usually carry my external flash, my kit (18-55) and the my 70-200 f2.8. Both of these bags have the easy side access which is a must for me.

I carry a Tamrac Adventure 9. It is a full size laptop/camera bag. It provides more than enough room for my travel tripod, dslr, 3 lenses, accessories, rain gear for my wife and daughter and some snacks for the day. It also has 2 excellent water bottle holders.

Second vote for Think Tank (love their stuff-selling off my old bags and upgrading to Think Tank). I use the Change Up (can be worn as a waist pack with/without shoulder strap for support, cross-body/shoulder, or on the front with criss-cross straps across your back. It's on the smaller side, but if I carry any more, then I using a rolling bag! For travel, I have their Airport Airstream.

I did take this bag on rides (did not ride Kali River Rapids) and didn't have a problem except for the fact that it slid out once from behind my feet on Rn'R (I was holding the strap in my hand). It's really not much larger than a roomy purse. Very happy with it this past week at WDW....

I use a Lowepro Flipside 300 which I like quite a bit.

If I heading to the parks with just one lens, I will normally use a regular napsack opposed to the Flipside.

This is what I use, it is a Naneu Pro Echo. I really wanted a sling bag but couldn't find a good selection. My last bag was a Lowpro and I hated it, the design was good but the zipper failed after a short time of use and then it took 2 hands to open which was unacceptable when I have a camera in one.

I love the Echo. I have walked in the pouring rain with the bag un-covered (not on purpose) and the water-resistant nylon worked as promised. The outside was saturated, but nothing made it through to the padding. It works great for rides, I just swing it around and get in. Also, I have noticed that if I have the bag in-front of me it works as a perfect elbow rest when shooting. The only negative that I have had with the bag is the size of the straps. I am a pretty big guy (50 inch jacket size) and it was not loose enough for my comfort. But I put my mad sewing skills (this was my first sewing project ) to work and made an extension that works like a charm and doesn't look like it was an after thought. I called the manufacturer and told them my story and they sent out a couple sets of extra buckles free of charge so that it inserts/removes easily.

I typically carry my D5000, 18-55, 55-200, 35 f/1.8, external flash, sometimes a 2x telephoto extender, various filters/cards/batteries/remotes, plus a first aid kit and room for my wife to occupy with a few things.
