How many of you guys carry both of these into the parks? I really want to. I love to scrapbook and I cant wait to have all of these Disney Phots but I also want my little girls to have a video tape. How much of a hassel would it be to carry both?

i only carry the smallest of our digital cameras, less is more i always say. If you go into an attraction, you have to carry it with you....dont leave anything of value in the stroller. we only buy things on the way out, or in downtown disney. If you have a SMALL video camera then i would suggest you carry it around your neck...but i'm sure that would get old quick!! Is this your 1st time in Disney??

We brought the "big" stroller..that really helped to carry things. No one cares about bringing in snacks or drinks, so i encourage that!

I carry both with me at all times but my cameras are not that large. I use a pack for everything.

I don't carry my video camera because I usually tour solo but I see lots of people with video cams in the parks

We carry both. I carry the digital camera and my husband carries the camcorder.

We carried both our camera and video camera into the parks each day. It was a little tiresome some times. However, being able to watch the video of our DD's first meeting with Mickey, etc. was priceless. Now we will not only the picture memories, but we will be able to experience the moment through video.

I carry both every time I go. I hate lugging the video camera around, I have a Sony handicam, but it's so nice watching the video's when we get home. Some day I'm going to buy a digital movie camera so I can just make my photo's off of that! Although I do have a nice, small digital camera now that I just love! It's great taking any photo I want and then deleting the bad ones! :D

I dragged down my film camera, digital camera, and camcorder. I carried the camcorder in the parks one day. It was annoying. But it didn't help that I already had my big 35 MM camera. We ended up pretty much using the digital exclusively. As much as I would like to have video I think I'll wait until DD is a little older. She enjoyed our trip very much but she got most excited about the carousel.

I carry my 8MP Olympus C8080WZ digicam and my D8 Sony Camcorder AND my Manfrotto tripod with Ball Head.

How many people do you have, so that they can carry the camcorder? :earboy2: My mom always carries around the camera and my father and I always took turns carrying the camcorder. Usually I was filming and my dad carried the case! I like having the camcorder, I still love going back and watching the videos and it is something that you will keep for a while. If you don't mind carrying it, it is worth it!

We carry three. My wife takes her slr and I carry the video camera & I use a small Canon. We always had a stroller and sometimes left a camera in it. It's a chance you take. I like to take videos at each of the parks. I can tell you I won't bother filming fireworks or Fantasmic unless I have the right equipment. You're so busy trying to keep it all in focus that you miss parts. When we got home to watch, it seemed like a waste of tape.

i use a fanny pack/belly bag/waist pack (pick your name) that fits the vhs-c video camera, 35mm camera (now being replaced by digital!), and has room for 3 autograph books, pens, batteries, and my palm, and the park tickets/fast passes. bag stays around my waist, so never chance leaving it behind. think i got it in a sporting goods store (galyan's?).

i use an ecv, so having the extra weight is not a problem. not sure i'd want to carry it all myself if i were on foot. but, i don't think i'd be willing to give up anything. need both the pics and the video!

I carry both but it does both...I bought a cancorder that takes snapshots for this past trip and it was great I could film when I wanted and when I hit snapshot it made a picture on the Memory card....I bought a 512 MB card and it held up to 1600 pics but only took 400...I also used up three tapes in filming....JVC Grd 72 is what I bought about 340 at wal-mart took some good pics and some bad mailny moving thing were a little blurry....I got home plugged it into my computer and save all the pics on CD....Its a palm size too

We carried both. DH had a big backpack that he bought for his new Digital SLR camera, so it also held the video camera! I'm so glad we brought it, for he took pictures and I was able to video a lot! We have MOST of the character interactions on video!

I and my family only bring a camera when someone new is traveling with us. When we do carry we use both video & still. We take photos on the rides, but we use very high speed film so as not to use the flash. As far as having to carry anything you purchase, if you are staying on property, you can have it delivered free to your hotel.

Another vote for both. I put the digital camera in the video camera bag to reduce bags. Unless you have a high end digital video camera that can take 2+ megapixel still shots, it's a necessity.

I always carry both--
Turns out on last trip the video camera went bad---boy was i
happy that I had a back-up!!!!

I carry both, my digital camera is very small and fits in my pocket. My video camera is also digital and small, but I put in my backpack.
