What room type at Hojo?
We stayed at Cambria in November and loved it. However, it’s not a convenient walk. It’s quite the trek. We would walk in the mornings and then utilize the Toy Story shuttle in the evenings or breaks. The walk to the Toy Story lot wasn’t bad at all. We did not get to use the pool, cause it was too chilly outside for us in November to swim. But it looked like a really neat pool area. The breakfast was fantastic. Usually had eggs, a potato option and a meat option. Plus make your own waffles. And tons of other things like yogurt, toast, bagels, muffins, fruit, etc. the area where you grab your food could be super crowded. And usually has a line. Especially the waffle area. But they had tons of seating available. The location is further from
Disneyland, but has lots of food options nearby. Including a Starbucks, and habit burger (plus other restaurants) in the strip mall that shared the same parking lot with the hotel. And the garden walk mall is a quick walk as well. We also loved the size of the room. We got a 2 queen one bedroom. The living area had a pull out bed. Having a full size fridge was great too. 2 showers in the bathroom also made getting ready much quicker.
We also love the hojo. It’s fun to have a park view room and the walk to the parks is great. Building one and 2 are updated. The double bed rooms are older. They have a regular pool and then the splash pad area. I think it would be “kiddie” for the 11 year old. But probably great for the 8 year old and younger.
So it would depend if you want to deal with the distance of Cambria. Having an Included breakfast daily is a big perk for us with 2 teenage boys. But totally understand if you want to be closer to the parks as well. I’d say both are a great choice. We would stay at both again.
