Sounds like you got a great deal on your shoes. I think I paid $45 for the skechers by themselves. Are you going to wear sandals once you find the pair you really like or the skechers that day or are you switching off?

Vanessa-- I was shocked to find them so inexpensively -- $29.99, I believe. Everywhere else I went yesterday, the cheapest price was $44.99, so I got really lucky, especially that they had my size and were so comfortable. I plan to wear them at the reception after our first dance. I am sooooo short that I want to wear heels for most of the time.

Congrats on the shoe find! I hope you can find the Noel somewhere!! Or you could try calling David's and see if you can talk to your regular consultant and see if she can order them.

Our LOA arrived!! Nothing in there is a surprise, either!! We also got the text to approve for our SaveTheDates (STD always looks bad to me. ) AND we got the link to our website. Very, very exciting!

Sure! I'll be glad to post a picture when Howard gets it, hopefully sometime this week. Because it had to be sized down so much, there was only room for 7 letters in engraving, so he didn't have it engraved yet. He said he is going to think about what he might want to put in that limited space, so I THINK he'll let me take a picture of it (I'm sure that once it is engraved, he won't want me to see it before the ceremony. )

So, I took some pix of the ring, and then Howard took some pix of the ring. And I said "which one should I post" and he said "post all four of them. It doesn't cost anymore to post four than it does to post one."

So, here is my gorgeous ring! I am so excited! I hate that it is going to be locked up in a dark box for 8 months. I think diamonds need light! Lots of light!

Hey, what about Howard's new ring?

Lisa-- Howard decided that he really likes the channel set diamond ring I gave him many years ago and doesn't want to replace it. So, he has taken it off and I put it away and that is the ring I will give him during the ceremony. In the meantime, he's gone back to wearing the plain band with the milled edges that we got a couple months after we got married (we didn't have money for rings when we got married, so we borrowed an old set from my parents and replaced them as soon as we could.)

Well, today's news is that we signed the contract last night, approved our DFTW website, and approved the save the date information. Yay!!!! It will all get sent back today.

Hey, did you guys notice the confidentiality language in the contracts? Very interesting, though not surprising.

Why do you think I'm tying the knot -- again!?!?!?! Gotta keep it nice and secure! Seriously, though, I know I am truly blessed. And as I've said before, God does answer prayers and he answers them BIG! Howard is the answer to every prayer, the fulfillment of every wish I made and every dream come true as far as finding the love of my eternity!
