Calypso Water Park in Ottawa ??

Haven't been to it yet but hoping to go this summer sometime. Regarding a hotel stay this is all the info. I have:

I emailed and called the waterpark wondering about packages (hotel/waterpark tickets) and was told that the only hotel that they are doing this with is the Marriott Courtyard in Ottawa. I have contacted the Marriott twice and have been told that this is "in the works" and to check back in a month for prices.:confused3

If anyone knows of ANY hotels that is currently doing a package please post on this thread.
Thank you

My son went about a week after it opened for an end of year school trip with all the grade 7 classes. He's not normally much of a thrill seeker but even so had an absolute blast. He's hoping to return with the family this summer. Lots of options for the more outgoing type (his younger brother) as well. His review:
The lines get big by noon
Expensive food - bring your own if possible
Lockers for storage
Individual changerooms
Some rides require a group of 4, 5, or 6 to ride
Some rides require pairs
Recommends the Boomerang and Blue Tube ride next to it

Enjoy!

I haven't noticed any deals for hotels and park passes here yet. My family and I bought season passes. We have gone four times. It's very nice. We have been both when it's crowded and when it's empty. This weekend it was really busy. If you arrive around 9:30 you can get into the park fairly easily and enjoy the rides before it gets too busy. By 1pm on a weekend it's really crowded. I have not bought the food yet b/c we have always brought our own. I have noticed though that there are always long lines at all the spots for food.
It seems to be fairly well run and the staff seem pleasant.

How is it with babies, anything they can do? I have a 10 month old and we were debating going, didn't want to pay all that money if we can't do anything!!;)

They have an area for little ones. There are little slides they can go down that go into ankle deep water. These slides have 2 or three steps to climb. It's a decent size area. They have little hoses with water trickling out that kids can pick up and water fake flowers with. There are some bigger slides in that area as well that you can put the little ones on and catch them at the bottom. It's a very cute area. You can also take the 10 month old in the lazy river which kids of all ages seem to like. You get a life jacket for the baby and you hold them and just float along. I've also seen a lot of little ones at the wave pool. There is a lot of room where it's shallow to just hang out and have little ones enjoy it. (This pool is the most crowded out in the deeper area. ) Hope this helps.:)
I'm actually headed there today.

I drove by it yesterday on my way home from Ottawa and got the pamphlet. However it does not include the cost- How much is a day?

And........ not being a thrill seeker, a wimp actually, are there any rides that are just floating- like a lazy river? Is there a simple pool with no extras?

Thanks,
Louise

Here is a link to their website. Looks like $35.00 including taxes for general admission and $5.00 for parking. There is a place to enter a promo code for discount if you can find one.

I heard that Mont Cascades has dropped their admission to $10. for the rest of the summer. Since Calypso Park is more than 3 times that price, and they apparently only have about 1/2 of the rides open, we'll go to Mont Cascades instead.
