I like to be able to use my scrubber or brillo pad and not worry about it scratching off anything .......I also have two sets of stainless steel......18/10 or 18/12

I've never tried Calphalon, but my ss Faberware is nearly 19 years old and my mothers is older than that(the only cookware I remeber her having), I have yet to make a mess in it that can't be cleaned with a little cameo cleanser. Never have had a problem with the handles getting lose or hot. That said it is not nonstick and I think the Calphalon is. I have some nonstick fry pans for somethings but for most cooking and anything that needs browning I use my Faberware.

OK, extension to the original poll. Which is better: anodized or stainless steel?

Just bought a set of Calphalon and I love them. I had a set of stainless steel and I was tired of things sticking. My stainless steel set was not an expensive set- less than $100.

I have the non-stick Calphalon. I have a large set with, let me count them...at least 10 pans, which I hang on a pot rack above my head (above the cooking island where I usually sit with my laptop, to be exact :) ) But I don't know that they are better than the regular Calphalon. I have to be careful about the non-stick surface, but I do like the easy clean-up. My kids have been trained not to use metal utensils on it. But it can't go in the dishwasher. It sure looks nice, though. :thumbsup2 Oh, I have the Professional grade, I think it's called. :)

Pampered Chef: Lifetime Guaranty and I've never had anything stick, so no need for a brillo pad - ever.

I have a set of the anodized Calphalon, and LOVE them. That said, there's one thing you NEVER want to cook in those pans--eggs. So for that I've also got a non-stick Calphalon fry pan. Life is good. :cloud9:

I've yet to find something (other than eggs) that sticks so much that a little Barkeepers Friend on a scrubbie sponge wouldn't remove with ease.

Bought a new set a couple of months ago at Kohls. It was on clearance. Faberware stainless pots, glass lids, and two nonstick fry pans. The pots clean really well, but love the nonstick pans for eggs, meat etc. Had to watch the budget, but imagine the Calphalon are great if money isn't a problem. :)

Calphalon One, especially, is the best cookware of all. I have never found anything else so good to cook with, and so easy to clean afterwards.

I agree! That's what I've got, and I LOVE it! My favorite piece is the Wok--I use it at least a couple times a week!

We used to use the paella pan a lot (imagine a huge fry pan but without the handle), but we've been using the saucier most of the time recently.
