Can you give me a ballpark for what you were registering in one day? My son's PE class tracks steps during class and if they miss a class period he gets an F. He asked if he could track his steps at the parks and count it and the teacher luckily said yes.

He needs to get a fairly large amount but I'm pretty sure he'll hit that in Disney. Just need to know if he'll need to pace around while we eat too. haha!

If you're walking from a nearby hotel and in the parks for a full day then he'll likely get at least 20K. Things that kill step count are going to be waiting in line for long periods of time, pushing a stroller (thinking your son doesn't need to do that), and sitting for shows.

Oh ok perfect. Thank you!

He's 13 so maybe. I will likely be in a wheelchair so when we're waiting for our times to come up I'll at least have him pace around a bit there too.

Last two trips we logged 20k-25k per day, one day was 29k. We walked to/from our hotel, did fast pass runs, and park hopped. We were also in the parks all day, but for limited "off-season" hours.

I wear an Apple watch and I clocked in an average of 8 miles a day. I was the fast pass runner and I walk pretty fast but that is a ballpark

We do 6-10 miles a day, and that's with staying very close by! We have a 5 year old and no stroller so we go at his pace mostly, but that's a lot of steps for little legs.

We stayed at DLH last time and rarely used the monorail (didn't want to fold up the stroller), we walked back for naps each day and I think my daily average was around 17,000 steps.

Ok so it sounds like we can plan on at least 15k. We are staying across from the entrance so not a TON of steps there, but we do have hoppers. Maybe we'll make even more use of those this time. We finally don't have a stroller but that means we're at the 6 year old's pace.

He will almost certainly get a ton more steps than he does during a school day.

Well it's not during the whole day at school. Just PE. But they are required to get above 5k in an hour. I assume his teacher will accept 20k in a full day LOL

Last time I went to Disneyland (Halloweentime 2016) I stayed off site, just south of Paradise Pier Hotel & averaged 21,500 steps per day. Lowest day was just shy of 18K, highest was 29K (a really long one--staying in park all day, meeting up with friends plus I had a ticket to the Halloween party after the park closed that day).
