I hope this is okay to post.. I just want to get the word out to good folks!

As some might have seen over the past few weeks, one of our cats had kittens. It is quickly approaching the 8 week mark (Sunday), and I have not been looking for homes. I have another option, which is to take them to Petland where they will adopt them out. They want them at 8-9 weeks, but I would not have a problem keeping longer if I knew they had homes to go to.

We have grown to love these babies, and I wish I could keep each and every one of them... but with 2 dogs and 3 cats already it would be a bit much.

I don't know how I will be able to say goodbye to them. the past few days, they have been able to have free roam of the house - prior to this i kept them confined to one area, so all day long (I work at home) and all evening they are my companions! One is sleeping at DDs head on the sofa right now, two are sleeping on the back of the chair, and well - the other two must be sleeping somewhere, as the are not running through the room!

They are all very socialized with DD, myself and our dogs. One did run for this hills this morning when I showed him to the "pool guy". They are very good at using the litter box. They are very very active -as all kittens are and each have their own personality!

I had a couple of maybes, but since have heard nothing, so none are spoken for at this moment (we are considering one Sarabi or Nala), but if I can find good loving homes for them all I would be okay with that too.

my husband is a truck driver thats drives long-distance and goes to florida quite a bit, if he is in CF anytime soon, I will be gladly to take a kitten off your hands. Ill ask him when he get's home tonight when does he plan to be sent to florida again.

Oh they are just so precious.... Sarabi is just the absolute sweetest!!!!

I hope you are able to find good homes for those sweeties! As you know, I've been following them from day 1 and it must be so hard for you to think about them leaving your home. Hopefully you'll get a couple of people who would each like a pair of kittens. I love having my sibling pairs (2 sets of siblings) since they have a built in playmate.

I just showed the pictures to DD. Of course, she immediately wanted them all. LOL! We have two older cats and an old dog. I just don't know that I'm up to a new baby. They are so precious. I love the one standing up at the screen. My first thought was "I give up!". I hope you find good homes for them. I'll ask around my neighborhood an see if anyone is interested.

Feralpeg, yeah, you probably shouldn't get a kitten. However, 2 kittens would get along so well together and would run with each other instead of picking on your older cats. :teeth: (spoken like someone who has 4 cats--two of them just leaving kittenhood and 2 dogs, one of them old).

Wow, I can't believe they are already 8 weeks! Unfortunately, my family would commit me to an institution if I took in any more furbabies...if not, I would love another kitten.

I have also been following them from day one. Each and every one is just adorable, I will bet you will have no problem finding them good homes.

It is suggested that they stay with mamma kitty until 10-12 weeks, if that is possible in your situation. It really helps them with socialization, from what I have read.

Good luck to you!

And yes, it is very hard to let them go, I know. (obviously, I ended up keeping four!)

This thread has surpassed the legal limits of preciousness. I am pretty sure you are going to get a ticket.

I could not choose. This is one of the sweetest-looking, dearest litters I have ever seen.

If my husband wasn't allergic.....
Those are about the cutest things I've ever seen. I'm almost questioning how attached to my husband I really am. :teeth:

Awwwwww :goodvibes. I can't take any of them from you (I'm too far away plus my kitties Bert and Ernie wouldn't accept them :( ), but thanks for the pics :cat:.

Three years ago, I took in a 'foster' pregnant cat and ended up keeping the whole crew. I was too attached and couldn't find homes I deemed worthy! The house is slightly on kitty overload, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

If you just weren't so far away! I would love a kitten or two. :)

Oh how I wish I could take one off your hands, I soooo want a kitten. But DH would absolutely kill me, as would my very spoiled 14-year old cat.

Bumping this to see if there are any takers. :teeth:

Thanks for all your kind words.

I am going to reach out to a rescue that uses foster homes rather than the Petland that would keep them there until adopted. They want them at 8-9 weeks due to the "cuteness" factor I guess. I would like to keep them until the 10-12 mark as well! I have just so procrastinated even thinking about this because I just love them all so much!!!! Nala is sleeping right next to me while I work (well at the moment "DIS"!)

I am hoping that this rescue will take them on and advertise on their site and then we can keep them until they are adopted out. I would have no problem taking them to their adoption sites on the weekends, etc.

DD has already started to get upset when she thinks about them going, but she knew from the start that we could not keep them. I am considering keeping one, and I too would love if to other pairs were adopted together.

Peg - if it's any help - they have learned to stay away from my other cats who just hiss and growl at them, and they are handling the dogs pretty well too! Maia the yorkie thinks they are toys and has been found carrying one across the room or down the hallway. I don't think she intends them any harm - and they don't seem to be too intimidated by her!!!

*sniff* I wish I could have one! DH put his foot down a long time ago about kittens though, after one chewed through a computer mouse wire (ironic!) & fried the computer. Can't imagine why he's veto'ed them ever since. :lmao:

I really hope you can find good homes for them, so here's another bump for you!

Oh how cute!!!!!!! I have a 3 and a half yr old already..i wonder if he would like a playmate :) I am seriously consdiering taking one off your hands for you. I would like a female, if you have any,, I am in Daytona..HMMM seriously considiring.....

woo hoo! DH is leaving to Florida tomorrow, not sure which part yet. If he can we would love to pick up a kitten, we hve 1 cat "Snow White" she is about 1 year and she is pure white and she needs a playmate and my 2 year old DD would just love a kitten. PM me with your address and phone # and I will get back to you later tonight or tomorrow morning with DH's actual Florida destination to see if he will be near you to pick up a kitten. I will send my cat carrier with him and blankets and have DH pick up kitten food, we have adult cat food at our house or ill send that with him.
