Hello been away for a while, during time away baby Ethan was born now 7 weeks old.
He is bottled fed, and was drinking 6ozevery three hours :surfweb: soooooo tired lol. Well today moved onto hungrier baby milk, was advised to give 4-5oz which should settle him! Well 5oz every three hours still.

Anyone else had this happen?

Anyway onto fun stuff, not able to go to disneworld this year but still having Disney fix at dlp. Anyone got advice for taking baby.

Cheers

Firstly congratulations on the birth of baby Ethan and nice to see you back :)

As far as the feeding issue goes, I'm afraid all babies are very different and so it's fairly hard to give advice - Daniel was a 'hungry baby' but I started off breast feeding. As soon as he went onto the bottle (10 days old) he settled right down into a great routine. We were very lucky. One thing we did find that he wasn't waking in the night because he was hungry, it was due to him waving his arms around and waking himself up. We started swaddling on advice from a midwife and from then on he slept 6-7 hours straight at night.

Hope things settle down for you soon - the first few weeks are the hardest and most tiring

Glad you're managing to get your Disney fix at DLP - no advice though, I'm afraid as I've never been. Have you tried posting on the DLP board?

All of mine fed differently - I say go with your instincts - I fed on demand (breastfeeding) and my babies had times when they were constantly feeding but then they eventually settled down. I think the first few months are incredibly hard work, unless you have a quiet, sleepy baby - I didn't!:rotfl:

How old will Ethan be when you go to DLP? One of mine was 11 months old and to be honest, she just slept in the pushchair for the whole time. It's very easy with babies - toddlers are a whole different story.:rotfl:

He will b 4 months. Just starting to get head around airport security with milk formula. Believe I can order it from airport and have it ready when in departures

Sorry, I'm not sure as I didn't use it. That sounds like an ideal time to take him as you probably won't start weaning him until you come back, so no need for baby food.:thumbsup2

Heya,

Alba only has hungry baby on a night which may or may not help her sleep through, I daren't not give her hungry milk now just in case!

Like has been said, all are different. Alba was breast fed for 6 weeks but even when we introduced formula as her last feed before bed it made no difference at all to how long she'd go before waking up.

Just a note though, Hungry baby milk as their only milk can make them constipated, if this happens just reduce use Hungry on a night and normal during the day, that should help.

Ring the Boots that's airside to ensure they stock your brand, if they don't ordinarily stock it they will order it in for you.

7 weeks is a classic time for that growth spurt just keep going he should settle in a few days x

Congratulations! My baby was born just after yours, Megan is 6 weeks today :)

After advice from the health visitor we started using the hungrier baby milk for just the last feed of the day(night time feed). This was about 2 weeks ago now. At first it made no difference whatsoever, but after about a week she started sleeping a lot longer. Now she usually goes between 5-6 hours after that feed. It just took her a little while to get used to it. :)

Thanks for info.

He still is three hours between and no different during night lol.
He drinks it very quick, quicker than normal first milk.

He is totally different to dd, she was nightmare :scared1: to get a little bit of milk down her.
