Calling out all Orlando People

I was just wondering what areas in Orlando that you wouldn't recommend to live in?? I need to also consider schools??

I'm just bumping this up.. I have to get to bed, and I didn't want it to go to page 2..


Here is the reason why I'm asking..
My husband woke up Sunday morning,and annouced that he wants to move.. I've been begging for years..

So he told me to save so we could go a few months with out employment. ( which I would rather have a job before moving).
Find out about the area - and the schools.

So now the fun and depressing part has to start..

Finding a job- in Orlando or Tampa...

There are good and bad schools all around Orlando. Even one of the best, Dr Phillips High School, has had problems in the past. If I were you, I would first narrow it down by what price range house you are looking for and then check out the schools for those areas. The Dr Phillips area, most Hunters Creek area and Windemere area are going to be the most expensive. Feel free to PM me with any questions, I graduated HS in Orlando, lived in Kissimmee for over 10 yrs and recently moved to Clermont! I have an 8 yr old and there are schools that I would send her to and some I would never send her to.

I would for sure research the schools in the area you want to move into. When we came down here all wer heard was how bad Florida schools were. My DD goes to a school that received an A from the Florida grading systems. And the teachers that I have come into contact with are so nice and helpful. I was just on a site last night that had Florida schools and their grades, I'll try to find it for you.

Actually the area that I really would like to move to is Clermont. I like the smaller area. Not that Clermont is small any more.

I also love Hunters Creek..
