LOL I already did Cleaning house while DBF is hunting...cracked my first lager at 12 noon

DBF is happy today, he's out in the woods....tomorrow he'll be happy too, it's his birthday and he'll be back in the woods...then saturday he BETTER be happy, its been a year since we started dating

We are mostly loners by nature . The holidays make us spend time with people we would rather not spend time with.We can't be the King of our castles when catering to others needs.We know with this holiday our bank accounts are going to dwindle away and there's nothing we can do to stop it.

So yes the holidays bring on the Grumps with us.

LOL his right ended when he left at 330 this morning to go hunting I 'sorta' feel guilty, since he didnt know I was cooking a turkey today, but I did call him and tell him I was ..... he chooses to spend the day chasing the big buck, I get the skin

But the skin's the best part!

Well, aside from the part where it's all cut up and put in a pot pie. That's actually the best part. I can live without turkey dinners, but I can't live without the turkey pot pie made from leftovers. mmmm.

Also, for me, it's the high expectation aspect. You know, everyone expects it to be this magical time spent sharing quality family time over a gorgeous meal. And the actual event rarely meets everyone's expectations.

(It's kinda like a trip to WDW, for some people. Everything just has to be nothing short of perfect, or the whole thing is for naught. But, while I freely admit to being grumpy at both Thanksgiving and Christmas, I don't let anything ruin my trip to the World. )
