Calling All UG Users

I just re-checked the crowd levels for our trip 9/29-10/5 for the hundreth time and am sad to report they went up. What I wanted to know is do you make your plans based on what parks it says to avoid and best days to visit. Or do you just do your favorites in order? We like to start off in mk, but UG says to avoid it on our first day. Please help.

We usually go by the guide except if we do an EE.

I go by some kind of guide recommending best days (not necessarily UG). I feel our visit will be much more enjoyable if we can cut down wait times and be in a smaller crowd.

The quality of the experience, for me, goes down in direct proportion to the crowd size, so I definitely try to choose the park that will be the least crowded that day. In particular, I think avoiding EMH day parks are essential.

No MK on Saturday or Monday if I can help it.

I follow the guide most of the times, but not my 1st day or last day. Both of those have to be at MK. My vacations starts as we are walking up Main Street and seeing the castle, can't imagine it any other way. Same thing, our vacation ends with dinner at CRT, then off to the airport.

The UG is a great source for information, but it is a GUIDE. You make your choices, just know that if UG suggest not going to MK because of crowds, and you go to MK, there is a good chance that there will be crowds!

Thanks for all of the info. I feel the same way that our trip to wdw has not really started until we go to mk. That first day all though the ug says to avoid mk it is a emh day so maybe if we get an early start we will be ok.
