SimCity 4 was released today. This is suppose to be, by far, the best SimCity game EVER! For those of you that also play the Sims, you can import your Sim family from the Sims and have them visit your Sim City. There are plenty of other great features in this game, but I find that to be one of the coolest!

Next week, The Sims will be released on the PS2 console. This will also be a lot cooler that the PC version as it will be 3D and can be played in a 2 player mode. I'm going to be renting that one first though because I don't want to spend $50 on a game that turns out to be just like the PC version.

I never got into the SIMS but have always loved Sim City. I'll need to check it out.

Features:

Create and control the most life-like metropolis you can imagine
Take your Sims from "The Sims" into your SimCity
Dispatch police cruisers to fight crime, send out the Mayor's limo to quell a rioting mob, or cap an erupting volcano threatening your citizens
Form mountains, carve valleys, plant forests, raise oceans, and more
From mellow traffic flow to commuter hell, noontime crowds to nighttime calm, partygoers to troublemakers, the movement in your city is ever-changing and unpredictable

Manufacturer's Description
In SimCity 4, you don't just build your city, you breathe life into it. Sculpt mountains, gouge riverbeds, and seed forests to lay the groundwork for your creation. Then construct the most realistic metropolis you can imagine. Your city comes alive with the hustle and bustle of construction crews, the snarl of traffic, and the activity of your Sims. Move your personalized Sims into your city and watch as they go about their daily lives. Build mansions on mountainsides, raise skyscrapers downtown, and build transportation networks to form a massive region of SimCities that share and compete for resources. With every decision you make, your city and your Sims will respond for better or worse. In SimCity 4, your city pulses with the life you give it.

Sims for PS2 is out next week? Woohoo! :bounce:

Look out, boys, Mom's taking over the PS2!!! :teeth: ;)

I am addicted to the simpler(I think) Animal Crossing for Game Cube....
Simms might be something to get for the PC..:)

CookieGVB- Actually, I just looked at my calander and it comes out Thursday. That's January 16th. So it comes out sooner than I thought.

I liked the original SimCity, but all the followup versions were just too complicated for me to enjoy. I think that the same thing has happened to the Sims since my kids are no longer interested in playing that one either. I don't think that I've visited my Sim family in over a year. I wonder how they're doing. :)

I have all of the Sims games (except the new online one, which I don't want to get addicted to ;) ), and I love them! I'll definitely have to rent the new PS2 Sims game and play it on my fiance's system when he comes over. I already made him buy Kingdom Hearts, so he's going to have more games for me than for him, LOL! :teeth:
