Ok, here is a lil' graphic i put together, i did it on a white background, so all you have to do is save the image onto your computer and then print it out - you can use it as a sign or resize it before you print it and use it as a pin..

Well I finally got the map and basically it's a out and back. I think it will be fine, but I'm not doing the 1/2 this weekend as some others are.

Got 5 miles in today. That's about 25 miles for the week.

Well ladies I left the treadmill behind this morning and went out of doors since it was not raining or too muddy. I did my stretches for my hips and all seems ok. Doesn't feel all better but better than yesterday. I think I am just going to have to start running outside.

Has anyone looked into the Race Retreat packages? Wondering if it is worth it and if anyone else is doing it. I wanted to do a chEAR package for DH but the other people we are traveling with don't want to do it so he doesn't want to there by himself. I may just go ahead and book it anyway so he has refreshments and a nice bathroom if needed. May give him the incentive to get up and see me finish the race!

Sinve the P&P has been changed, do you think that WDW will offer refunds to those who opt out? I purchased the party tickets based on the fact that it was at MK. I'm so disappointed. This will be the 3rd 5k that we've done at WDW and party tickets for participants were included in the last 2. I'm not sure what to expect at DHS. What attractions will be open? What are the party times? Not sure if we want to go...

Here is a question I have. Is the park only open to us, like the other special events? And if so what is open. I don't even know! I was just sitting here thinking about what is open for the EMH and realized we have only done one EMH and that was a morning so we could get on TSM without a wait.

Glad to hear you are doing better, Shelley. Where do you live that you are running outside in the mud? We are in the 20's here, and I am hoping it warms up before I head out for my long walk on Sunday. I am happy to be inside on my TM and WiiFit.

Stacey, I like the graphic. Can you try one with your name in the crown? Maybe in black letters?

I had been considering the race retreat, but it may be too pricey this time out. If I do it, I would buy for my friend Pat also...and that would be too much for my budget to handle at this time. I am just thinking the registration fee is so pricey already, I have a hard time coming up with another $95...

Oh, and I do track miles on my Garmin and TM...but I may be training "backwards". I train for time, not miles. I have a 75 and 100 minute workout for the TM, and I walk outdoors for 2 hours every Sunday. I plan on bumping that up to 3 hours on Feb.15, then taper to one hour on Feb. 22 and 29. What do you guys think of that for training?

No, i don't think we get ANYTHING via mail. Only Email. At least that's how it was for the Minnie 5k last year.. All the directions get posted and emailed.

Well, i honestly don't expect my MIL and my dd to even see me finish.. so it's not a big deal.. now, with the new map, it looks like we are running right near the POLY, so maybe they can plan to be outside the hotel and cheer me on.. LOL

I read that DHS will only be open to marathoners and our guests. Frankly, this is a more attractive party to me. However, I probably will skip this one too since my friend can't ride ToT and RnR due to spinal fusion surgery. It would be great to have that crowd limit for TSM...but not sure that is worth the price of our admissions.

We run kinda by it. The best place for them is on Floridian Way by Shades of Green. They can walk over to the Wedding Pavillion from the Poly and up to the road. Lots of open spaces to see people go by! We did this a few years ago to see a friend of mine run by. Worked out perfectly! We saw him go by and then strolled over to the TTC to head to Epcot for the finish!
