I like in North West Indiana (Chicago) and we sail every November......We leave the house at 4 a.m. I turn up the Buffett and carribean music and wake 'em all up. I have a tiki bar in the lower level of my house with pictures of our 4 DCL sailings on the walls......nothing like looking at CC every day!!!!

Fins Up! I like the tiki bar idea.
Are you going to one of the Wrigley concerts?
We're going to Indy Aug 31. Can you believe a WEDNESDAY concert. Oh well, looks like a loooonnnng Labor Day weekend.

Southern California Parrotheads checking in here (where is the parrothead smilie?). We watched the show, too (with a margarita, lol) We'll be heading to the concert in April at the Arrowhead Pond. We listen to Jimmy year-round (we even have a Christmas album).

O.K..........I can't resist this thread. We have a Magaritaville in Columbus, Ohio of all places now! The drinks are fabulous. The other thing you might not all realize is that Margaritaville.com plays all the concerts LIVE! We sat many Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays last summer on the back porch with all the other 30 and 40 somethings in the neighborhood telling our stories about Buffet concerts "of old". Seems like soccer and slumber parties have changed us in some ways but listening to that on the stereo takes me to the beach without ever leaving the comforts of my own restroom.

Missed Key West last year..........we were going to do the touristy thing too and have drinks and burgers at Margaritaville, apparently Hurricane Jeanne wasn't in on our plan! Someday...................

Have a good one,

Frank and Lola (a.k.a. Missy and Bo)

Really? A Margaritaville in Columbus? Is it like the one in Orlando? I couldn't find any info about it on the website.

Really...a Christmas album? That is awesome! I need to find that! That has to beat Bing Crosby any day of the week! :cool1:

Sorry........it's a Cheeseburger in Paradise. Fingers Taylor has even been in to play one night.........I was so excited to see all the phans on the disboard I typed the wrong thing..............lol

The Christmas CD is great! It's nice hearing "Mele Kalikimaka" and "Ho Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rhum" during the cold winters! The CD is called Christmas Island if you want to look for it.

We're two northern CA Parrotheads who are going to see him for the first time next month in San Jose! We might have to pick up a couple of souvenirs to take with us on our May repo cruise!

To those who might be interested in some such trivia, "Cheeseburger in Paradise" was inspired by a visit to a little known island called Cabbage Key, just off Pine Island in southwest Florida. The little bar/tavern there does indeed have fantastic cheeseburgers, and ambiance you can carve with a knife. The first time I visited, we docked our boat and made our way into the bar, which is festooned with hundreds of marked-up dollar bills stapled three/four deep on the walls and ceilings, left by previous guests as calling cards. The only people in the place were the bartender and three very intoxicated people: two men flanking a beautiful woman in a red dress sitting at the bar. As we walked in, the lovely lady turned around on the stool to see who was entering, and promptly fell backwards onto the floor, cackling hysterically. I knew right then I was going to like this place.

Anyway, if you're ever in the Lee/Charlotte area of southwest Florida and have access to a boat, definitely go check the place out. As for Jimmy Buffett: no offense to all you Parrotheads, but I'm a lifelong Floridian and never caught the Buffett buzz. I can listen to some of his earlier albums ("White Sportcoat and a Pink Crustacean", for example), but otherwise, I'll leave him to you to enjoy. For tropical vegetating purposes, I'd much rather listen to Marley. But hey, whatever floats your individual boat -- go for it.
