Just finished watching Jimmy Buffet "unmythed" on CMT, watching it made me want to be in a tropical paradise with turqouise water and white sandy beaches...please tell me I don't have to wait till Dec. for my cruise! Ahh..mother, mother ocean...

Do other Parrotheads have this problem too? :sunny: Being raised in Florida it is a bylaw that you have to be a Parrothead, incase some weren't aware! :rotfl2: You can take the girl out of Florida, but you can't take Florida out of the girl! ;)

ahhh, the joys of living in FL!! I'll be laying on the beach Saturday, in the mean time I can only drive by it. :sunny:
I Love JB!

We play Buffett cds all winter long (summer too!) to bring us a bit to the tropics but it's never the same as actually being there. pirate:

Jimmy is in my car CD player and I actually opened the sunroof this morning.... it was 42 degrees out you know. HEAT WAVE IS A COMING!!!!!

Northern Parrothead checking in.....

The good news is that we'll be spending Mother's Day in Key West, on the May 7th cruise, so my JB "fix" is coming up quickly. Also, got my 3rd row tickets ready for his August concert here in Philly! :cool1:

Phins Up, DISers!

we had one relatively warm day on Saturday. I had the siunroof and Jimmy Buffet playing. I was in New Jersey near the turnpike. I told my DH I was so tempted to get on the turnpike and head straight for Fla!

Another Northern Parrothead checking in!

Too funny! I thought I was the only one who listened to Jimmy Buffet all winter long. Growing up in Miami I certainly miss the warm sun this time of year. My favorite concert was Jimmy Buffet in Key West in the 1980s. Ah, the good old days. Already restless for our Key West stop on September cruise.

Thanks for the nice pick me up thoughts on this cold winter Michigan Day!

We were on the Eastern cruise 2/5-2/12/05. The day we returned, we got in the car and "Margaritaville" was the first song on the radio. "IT'S A SIGN!!!" I screamed at my husband. Then we pulled into the grocery store parking lot, and the car right next to us had a Mickey antenna topper on it--ANOTHER SIGN! Of course, now I'm finding signs everywhere pointing out that we NEED to return. But nothing puts me in the mood for vacation like a little JB!!!

:cool1: Can't help it!! It is cold and rainy and I am ready for some SUN! :sunny:
As soon as it gets warm enought I open my sunroof and have Jimmy in the CD player....

Finally visited Key West in January...Typical tourist I was!!!! :goodvibes I had to have a "Margarita and a Cheeseburger in Paradise" at Jimmy's Margaritaville cafe!! Wish I was there now! :cloud9:

I just did that in Jamaica this January. You HAVE to!!!!!

How was the weather on the Enchantment when you sailed??? We were on the week before you and boy was it rough!!! :confused3 Our last night we had 20-30 foot swells and the air was really cold!!! :cold:

Key West and Cozumel were great!! 80's and Sunny except when we boarded to leave Key West. It started storming!!! Cozumel was wonderful though. :sunny: It just seemed like our nights were so rough!!

I never wanted to head back out to sea cause it got so cool and rough. We had fun,but I don't think I will sail in January again and I am really spoiled by the Disney ships!! Glad to be on the MAGIC in October! :goodvibes

Went to Margaritaville Key West Missed Jimmy by one night He gave a free concert the night before we arrived. Miss those conch fritters and margarite's. They have Cheeseburger in Paradise in Hawaii Miss those Strawberry Margarites :cool1: :cool1:   :rockband: :thewave: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

Will be at Margaritaville Key West on April 10 via the Magic. Is there any way to check when JB will be performing?

grew up in central FL, but didn't really discover Jimmy until I moved to Atlanta...just got out of the car listening to Jimmy...it's cold and rainy here today, so it seemed appropriate. Now, you want a really good laugh? I am a music teacher at a private Christian school, and I have found SEVERAL ways to incorporate his music into my lessons! :rotfl2:

You can try his web site Margaritaville.com He usually doesn't do concerts at Margaritaville They were just lucky Heard people were dancing in the street

I like in North West Indiana (Chicago) and we sail every November......We leave the house at 4 a.m. I turn up the Buffett and carribean music and wake 'em all up. I have a tiki bar in the lower level of my house with pictures of our 4 DCL sailings on the walls......nothing like looking at CC every day!!!!

Just came back from Vegas -

There was a heatwave in Vegas and the Margaritas were cold at Jimmy's

I'm from Philly - it killed me to come home to the cold

Another PA Parrothead checking in.

Listened to JB on my way to work this morning!

On the day we disembarked from our 8/21/04 Eastern We drove to Citywalk at Universal to go to Margaritaville!

Can't wit until 8/27/05 to see him at Citizens Bank Park!

WOOOHOOOO :rockband: :drinking: pirate:

O.K..........I can't resist this thread. We have a Magaritaville in Columbus, Ohio of all places now! The drinks are fabulous. The other thing you might not all realize is that Margaritaville.com plays all the concerts LIVE! We sat many Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays last summer on the back porch with all the other 30 and 40 somethings in the neighborhood telling our stories about Buffet concerts "of old". Seems like soccer and slumber parties have changed us in some ways but listening to that on the stereo takes me to the beach without ever leaving the comforts of my own restroom.

Missed Key West last year..........we were going to do the touristy thing too and have drinks and burgers at Margaritaville, apparently Hurricane Jeanne wasn't in on our plan! Someday...................

Have a good one,

Frank and Lola (a.k.a. Missy and Bo)

Wheww...Ok...so I know atleast it is not just me! I love hearing from all the parrotheads out there. On the show last night, JB was saying, ironically that his largest fan base is NY, most assume that it is Florida.

I live less than 15 miles from the beach but the Atlantic here is SOOOO not like the beach in the carribean, I live in the warmth of the South, I wear my flip-flops year round...even on those hard winter days of 50 degrees :rotfl2: We have Margaritaville(minus the restaurant, retail only) here in Charleston I pay my homage and visit often, the restaurant I work in is a favorite of JB and the Coral Reefers, and yes I have even "waited on" JB(he has family in Charleston apparently, inlaws I think) several times.

:earboy2: And although I shouldn't be complaining about it...I am! :goodvibes  I want to be on that boat, radio on (with JB of course!) and toes in the white sand! :sunny: :cloud9: :sunny: In the mean time I just have my DCL dvd to look at CC, guess that will have to do.
