CALLING ALL NORTHEAST TRAVELERS!!! 75.00 direct flights from Hartford!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!

I went about my normal business of checking all airfares this morning... I checked Boston to Orlando, Manchester to Orlando & then Hartford to Orlando.... Checked Travelocity, no go... I need direct flights & nobody has them cheap!!!

BUT....

I went to the Southwest website... checked Manchester to Orlando... no go... THEN I hit the jackpot!!! Hartford to Orlando!!!

75.00 round trip, mostly direct flights... I am so excited!! Our dates are November 30th through December 16th

RUN, RUN, RUN Now before they sell out... Here was our breakdown for four passengers....

Tax 39.28
PFC 30.00

WOOHOO, just the kind of thing to make my day!!!

Wow. We got $93 from SWA for our October trip and we thought we were blessed!

What an incredible fare...too bad I live so far from Hartford...but just the same we got a 98.00 RT from MHT to MCO for August!!


But still a great deal!!

chris1gill... That was my reaction yesterday AM when I saw the same thing! Did you get that fare by putting together the oneway fares? That's how I found it.....I nearly fell off my chair when the total for 3 rt to MCO (from hartford) came out to $225.00 total incl pfc and tax!!!

I told my dh about the rate, so we plugged some dates into SWA and viola!! We found mid September and mid December avaliable. We already have a 10 day trip scheduled for Halloween time, but could not resist the fare (more than fair) price.

We called Disney for room rates and availability. They had many rooms in many hotels available! We couldn't decide on which date to choose, so we booked both...

Got $225 for three people on the flight (non-stop no less) and around $100 a room! Wow! What a deal. Then to top it off, if you book 4 tickets through SWA and travel before December 31, 2001, you get a free SWA ticket!!!!!!

As a rule and travelling from NE, we feel if we pay less than $200 a ticket, we did well. In three trips this fall, I will spend $729 for 6 tickets! For $129 more, I just added two more vacations!

Now, how cool is that!

Denisenh, did you book the fare or were you just looking?
LauraJean, I saw the thing where if you book the four tickets & sign up for their program, you got the free ticket... but when I got to that screen it froze, and I couldn't get back to the screen, can I call & get the same deal applied? What are your dates? We might just be on the same flights! We're Nov 30 & Dec 16... We are also going over labor day, but that's on Delta out of Boston....

Here is our schedule:

Sept 14-17

It looks like we'll be together on the 16 and 17th of December! Have you gone at Christmas time before? We did 5 years ago (w/o ds) and it was more magical than we could have believed. Even my sister, whom dislikes Disney, said Disney was truly magical at that time of year.

If you were unable to sign up for Click n' Save just call SWA customer service! I am sure they can check records and apply your purchase to your free ticket! (FYI - if you never flew on SWA, they do not offer assigned seating, so be the first ones there and you will have your preferred seat).

I will call SWA as soon as I get off the computer!! Thanks... We have been at Christmas time before, 2 years ago... I swear it's the perfect time of year to go!!! I do miss that bite in the air just prior to Christmas though!!! What resort are you staying at in December? We'll be at VWL until the 14th and then we're scheduled for the GF for the last two nights... although the cheaper side of me is having a battle with itself LOL...

chris1gill (sorry for the delay, my computer bit the big one) ....I just booked our flights today..but we are going to Tampa from MHT for $317 rt for the 4 of us November 10th through 14th.
As far as the free ticket thing....do you mean Rapid Rewards? It would be great if they counted each person in your party as each RT counted, then 4 travelers would equal a free ticket, but I am pretty sure its a each rapid reward member has to fly 4 RT's to get a free ticket. DH and I are rapid reward members, this trip will be his 4th in a year so we will have one ticket coming. I joined later so this will be my second. You should sign up even if you don't THINK that you will be a frequent flier because with great fares like the one you just found, you never know!! Thank you for all of your info!! I hope we all have great trips!!
