:teeth: Hello!

I have been reading this site and have come across many answers! Thanks for all the help!

I was a bit confused by the threads stating that Intimate brides are not really allowed private receptions, but they can go for group ADRs at restaurants. Are there no more private options for an Intimate bride?

Also, can you have a NON-Disney photographer take pictures at the YC Gazebo?

Any clarification would be much appreciated!

Well technically intimates cannot have a private reception -- but, they can book a group dining reservation at a restaurant and can sometimes get a private or semi-private room for their dinner. I know some intimates had luck w/getting a semi-private room at Yachtsmen Steakhouse. You can also book and Illuminations or Fantasmic Dessert party for your "reception", but if you want to wear your dress I believe you have to pay for special transportation to drop you off. We are an intimate and are having a dinner at the Maya Grill @ Coronado Springs Resort (b/c that's where we are staying), but we are also having an Illuminations Dessert Party (welcome party) the night before, since I won't be in my gown for that -- no special transportation needed. I hope that sheds a little bit of light on your question -- I'm sure some of the others can share more info as well.

yes you can have a non Disney photgrapher, one of which is Randy Chapman.
We had him for our photos at the Y/C gazebo in March. He was fabulous.

Hi! We are having an intimate and we are doing a welcome dinner the night before for all our guests and they couldnt promise private or semi private but our planner made the reservations for the earliest time so that we could all be at the same table.... HTH!

May I ask where your welcome dinner is going to be?

And what your plans are for your guests on the wedding day??

Thanks!

Hi I am an intimate bride too and I am planning a welcome dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe- just to loosen everyone up- I don't want DF's family and my family to be extremely uptight- which they are usually for the most part.

On the wedding day I am doing and ADR for Ohana's for my guests. I was going to go with 1900 park fair but decided against it as I don't want people to feel that they have to do wedding things all day and all night. besides it gives DF and me some time alone after the vowes and cake cutting ceremony.
