We are traveling in September for another Disney vacation. It will be my parents and my husband and 2-year old DD. Obviously, we need two rooms. We are between the Contemporary's Standard Room in the Atrium Club Level and the Grand Floridian Outer Building Standard Room Club Level. Both are pricing essentially the same.

Which hotel do you think I am best off with given I have a young daughter? Last year, we stayed in an one bedroom in BLT and LOVED it. It was very convenient.

Thanks for your help!

Sorry your not getting many responses. I have only stayed Cl at Poly and Yc. Poly was wonderful and Yc was just ok. The construction at the GF is really an eyesore. There are walls up around the pool. I wouldn't spend the the money to stay at GF until the construction is done. I'm not a big fan of the Contemporary theme, but of the two I would have to go with that one. Is there a reason your not considering the Poly or the Wl. I think those two resorts are better themed. The Wl rooms are small, but it sounds like your getting two rooms so maybe that won't be a problem.

The Contemporary has a wonderful pool area for your 2 year old DD, plus you can just walk to the MK. That being said, one thing you might want to consider are the restaurant choices in each hotel; are there restaurants you want to make ADR's in that are easy to access from your resort choice. I hope this helps.:earsboy:

i agree, the construction at the GF makes me not overwhelmingly recommend it. of the two choices, i would go with the contemporary. also curious why you are not considering the poly, although with a baby the CR might be better anyway because of the walking path to MK.

I would stay at the Contemporary so you can walk to and from the MK if you want to. Last summer, we stayed at the GF and there were times when we had to wait sooo long for the monorail that I wished we could have walked back to the hotel.

I wouldn't pay top dollar for the grand Floridian now (too much construction). I'd go with Polynesian concierge. Lounge is great and in a central location with a beautiful view. Plus you can walk to ttc for direct Epcot monorail as well as monorail to mk.

I've never stayed at the Comtemporary but have stayed at GF's Sugarloaf Lodge and  it. 1 of our better choices.

Poly CL is also a good choice.

Take a look at Poly CL. We stayed there 2 years ago and are going back again this summer. It is a very relaxing resort. The volcano pool is great for small kids (zero entry). You have easy access to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot by monorail so it is easy to bring along a stroller. The 2 story lounge at the Poly has a great view of the Magic Kingdom. You can also sit on the beach to watch the fireworks and then head back to your room without worrying about crowds/transportation. :)

I can't comment on the CR as we've neve stayed there, but I didn't care much for GF SL. The SL building is convenient to the courtyard pool and the main building, but the lounge was always very busy and chaotic with not enough seating, IMO, to accommodate everyone staying there. I also don't care for how the lounge is located right inside the lobby of the SL building. The offerings are very good (they are the same as what's offered in RPC), but I thought it was too crowded and not very relaxing if you wanted to just sit in the lounge. I know you mentioned WL CL wasn't an option as you wanted something a little more convenient for transportation, but we thought WL CL was awesome. For us, WL CL runs a very close second to GF RPC.
