Calling all Aulani experts

We are planning on going to Aulani next year second half of August. We own at AKV so we have to book at 7 month.
What is the best approach to book a Studio at 7 month. We would like to stay for 2 weeks. How hard would that be go get?
And last would you recommend hotel room vs the studio. The room seems to be less point. it will be 4 of us.

Aulani shouldn't be too hard to get at 7 months if you jump straight on it. The standard views go first, if you're open to spending more points on other views you should be ok, as long as it isn't in super peak time (not sure of US holidays etc) The Hotel rooms are lovely, you will get 2 Queen size beds, but no microwave or wet bar. Studio you will get a Queen size bed and a pull-out sofa. I guess it depends what you need and think you would be more comfortable in. They are both beautiful rooms, the hotel rooms are slightly larger.

If you aren't worried about not having a microwave and toaster then I'd take the hotel room and save the points, and have 2 proper beds!

Does that mean the rooms have fridge and a coffee maker? also do they all have balconies?
