Do you know where Charlie Brown's is in Woodbury? I go there quite often.
It's a small world.

Yes, that's where I went to eat lunch the last time I had jury duty. Charlie Brown's is only a few miles from my house. If you know where Nicolosi's Catering is, that's the street I live on.

Andy:

Nicolosi's Catering did my good friends wedding. So I know right where that is.

O.K., I'm on that road about 1 to 1 and 1/2 miles heading towards National Park. Do you know where Cap'n Cats Clam Bar is? If so, I'm just a stones throw from there.

Hello Lyn: I am leaving one week from today. I am a wreck !! Only my DD is packed. I am starting the rest of the packing now. There is a problem with my wedding band. Long story hope to get it fixed before I leave. I hope someone can help me with this..........My wedding dress is BIG. It is in a bridal garment bag. Now picture a 40 year old woman trying to look like Cinderella getting ready for the ball. The bag is 73 inches long and 12 inches think. I don't remember how wide. The slip is in a seperate plastic bag and is 3 layers and quite thick. Do you think I will be able to get this on the airplane??? I called them and was told they would try but if they can't I would have to check it. I have 2 flights. Needless to say I am trying not to get alot of wrinkles in it because Disney can't do that much with it. I wen't to UPS store today. They could ship it 2 day air. Which makes me nervous but it would cost between 285.00 to 300.00. I didn't even ask if that included tax. lol I am feeling alot of stress and pressure with this. Please help............ Thanks, Tina

Andy:

I am not familar with Cap'n Cats but my husband said he knows right where that is.

Tina:

When my friend got married in Disney she had a hugh dress bag which we took on the airplane with us. Up in first class they had an area where they hang coats and they put the dress in there. I would take the dress to the airport and hopefully take it on the plane if they have to check it make sure they put it in a box big enough so it doesn't get wrinkled. But I think under the circumstances they will make room for your dress on the plane. All in all the airlines try to accomodate items like this. Take downy wrinkle reducer with you it works wonders for any last minute touch ups.

Lyn

Thanks Lyn ! That sounds a little bit more hopeful. I will get the wrinkle reducer. I would feel more comfortable if the dress was with me. Back to packing. :Pinkbounc :bounce: Tina

Missed the chatter. We've been so busy here, all good though!

We might be closing the first week in Dec. cross your fingers for us!!!!

Glad to read everyone is doing great.

Tina- Best of luck I'm sure everything will work out beautifully.

Jackie looks awesome!!!!!

Darlene, what's the word on Stan?

Looking foward to AC in Dec.

Cindy::MinnieMo

Cindy, i was jsut about ready to call your house and saw it was only 815 AM... and then I saw your post,,,, Glad to see your back on..:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc about the house...

Tina. Be one of the first at the airport to get the dres on the plane, explain the reason.. and use the WRINKLE reducer maybe even under neath the dress if your worried about the effect of the material. Also, when you pack the dress, use lots of white tissue paper when you fold it in the box. For some reason, tissue paper will preven tthe wrinkle too.

HAVE FUN MOST OF ALL...

Lynn,, I had the same surgery as well as more on my right foot/ leg December 23 last yr. Merry Christmas to me...

Darlene, thats so great.. Sandy must be so excited
I haven never done the MACY parade. I would love to some day,,
A dream for me actually... hint hint KAREN.......:wave2:
I am off to take Jaclyn to VOLLEY BALL practice... (am on a SUNDAY.) what ever happen to sleeping in.....

DOREEN

Doreen: That's just the thing I can't fold the dress. I don't even have a box for it. I just have the bridal bag and it's 73 inches long. I wouldn't be able to fold it even if it would be easier to get it on the plane. The dress would be in bad shape by the time we got there.:( I am just hoping for the best at this point. If they want to put it with the luggage I may just ask if I can go with it.:hyper: Tina

Cindy: Thanks and I hope everything goes well with your house.

Mary Rose (Carmen) I sent you a PM couple of days ago ??

Good Monday Morning to Everyone:wave2:

I wanted to write something so we don't slide to page two!!!!

Tina - PM'd you back. Sorry but I don't ever get notification of PMs! All the best on your upcoming wedding. I hope you a wonderful wedding and cruise. Everything sounds great!

Happy Monday Everyone!

Yesterday was Taryn's 15th Birthday and we spend the day, where else?, at the mall LOL! I am happy to see though that she is a bargain hunter! She wants all the designer names for teens of course but I saw her balking at the $59 price tag for one sweatshirt. That's my girl!

Cindy - So happy about the house and glad you checked in with us!

Lyn - Sorry about your Sis, I hope she's better really soon!

For all those with such early snow - that really STINKS! I hate snow (except at Christmas)

More later...........

Hi everyone :wave2:

I was JUST about to post on this thread!! It's been way too quiet lately, I guess we're all busy lately. I finally got my DCL cruise pics back up on my web page. And I also got John to show me how to back up my site onto my hard drive so it won't happen again.

I'm glad to hear from Cindy! :wave2: And Tina, I hope all goes well with getting the gown down to the ship, I'm sure it will be fine. Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! :sunny:

Mary Rose: Thank you !:sunny: Still have so much more to back and yes busy with appointments this week. As soon as I get back I will figure out how to post ALL of the pictures. Oh will there be pictures. Tina

Hey guys, gues what?....

We've got Extreme Makeover - Home Edition in town this week.

They are building a house for a widowed mother with three daughters. Their house burned down about 7-9 months ago and the insurance wasn't enough to rebuild. According to the paper the episode will air on Sunday, January 2nd. Check it out!

Dori

TINA - It is so exciting listening to you get ready for your wedding. The dress sounds beautifulprincess: . Can't wait to see your pics when you return.

CINDY - Glad to hear that you may be headed to settlement on the house. Hooray! Stan is basicly in a wait and see situation. The surgeon wants to keep the drain in place, maybe 6-8 weeks, and see if it will help the abscess collapse. They are doing everything to avoid surgery. But until the abscess is cleared up they can't even think about taking the next step (chemo). He is still trying to regain some strength.

LYN - I am so sorry to hear about your sister. Hope she heals very fast. Don't you just love insurance? There is an awful lot of home care being done and I for one don't feel completely comfortable performing nursing care without a license.

DOREEN - How are things? Sandy is excited about the parade. The only reservation she had was that she didn't want to be a turkey! They actually sew costumes and I am looking forward to seeing ours. This is our first year volunteering. I have never even been to the parade before. I watch it on TV!

ANDY - I will think of you sitting in your nice warm home watching the parade. I'm hoping that the weather adds to the total holiday atmosphere. I'm also hoping that I don't get halfway down the parade route and wish I had stayed in my nice warm home and watched it all on TV!!!

CARMEN - Tell Taryn Happy Birthday!!

KAREN - How's the leg?

TERRY - I can't believe you had that much snow already. Did it melt or is it still piled up?

Darlene

Tina - Congrats on your upcoming wedding. I'm sure everything will work out beautifully. If I would have known about the problems with your wedding gown, I would have volunteered to drive your gown to the ship. Do you think DCL would notice a stowaway? Lol

Darlene - lucky you - to be in the parade. We're in Philly and we never go down to watch it but I saw there's going to be Disney characters there, so I might go. If you get a chance and want to meet for lunch, let me know.

Cindy - I'll keep my fingers crossed. Good luck

Yesterday, I took out my clothes that I'm planning on taking for my cruise next month and I don't understand what happened. In August, the clothes fit and were even a little loose but now they're a little tighter. I guess they must have shrunk in the dryer ::yes:: Well, fellow DIS losers, I have to get serious now and really start the diet. I've been starting and it lasts maybe 2 days and I pig out, now I look like a pig. How's everyone else doing?

Is anyone planning on going to the Academy of Music in Phila in Jan to see Disney's On the Record? If so, there's a group rate if there's 20 or more going. I'd like to go with Lindsay.

See ya

Bev

Hi Bev!
What is Disney's On the Record? I have a subscription to the Walnut Street Theater and love live performance. Tell me what this is.

The parade organizers will provide us with breakfast and lunch on parade day. I'd love to meet up with you another time. I don't know my way around Philly, just how to get to certain places (Walnut Street Theater, Wills Eye Hospital, 8th & Market, Penn's Landing, and most of the historical district). Let's get together!

Oh, and to answer your question about how we are doing in the "loss" department...I had to go shopping on Sat for "fat" clothes.

Darlene

Happy Birthday Taryn:Pinkbounc :bday:

Dori, I love that show. Ty ,,hmmmhmmmm he can do me over anytime...

Tina in case I do not get to say it again,,, good luck this coming week. Enjoy your self at your wedding and let DISNEY take care of the work. I am sure it will all go well.:bride: :groom:

As for us,, we had BLACK MONDAY again. Marty's grandma passed away over the weekend. So we have a funeral tomorrow. This is where I need your prayers. My wonderful father in law (Marty's dad) is having angioplasty on Wednesday. They fear that they might have to do an emergnecy bybass sugery With the stress of burying his mom on Tuesday and than surgery on Wednesday.... its very scary over here. And my poor Marty is a basket case. To top all this off Daniel came home sick today with n/v/d and tonight spiked a fever of 103.9. CALGON TAKE ME AWAY

If you would,, please keep us in your thoughts this week. I have more than enough stress and I dont think I can take anymore. I need you guys so I can vent and keep remembering there are other people with sometime worse problems then I have.. So thanks to all of you too:sunny:

Doreen

Doreen:

We are here for you. Our prayers and thoughts will be with you this week. Be sure to send Marty our condolences on the death of his grandmom. We will be praying for his dad.
