Andy, I hope you're better soon! Are you home because of your knee? Take it easy and get all better :)

Yes, I'm still home because of my knee, the doc has me going for PT three times a week for the next two weeks.

If you get too much snow, maybe you can get some of those Patriot team members to help dig you out, now that the season is over, they don't have that much to do.

We can handle the snow, we have a snowblower plus 2 big strong teenaged boys. LOL My worry is over snow days and the kids having to go later in June, which might cause us to cancel our cruise :(

That's what I need a couple of strong teenage boys around, of course, then I would have to feed them, and I remember what it cost my parents to feed us four boys during our teen years, OUCH!!!

Terry: I thought we getting alot this year. You are really taking a pounding. NY schools must be different. They alway allow a certain number of "snow days" if they use them all up they take away the spring break days. They have never had a longer school year. It has always been around June 26th. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. By the way.........They haven't had to shortened a spring break yet. :)

Andy: Hope your knee feels better soon. It sure won't help it if you get some snow and you have to shovel.

Anyone hear from Mary Rose? Hope all is well. Tina

Tina,, all I can say is "this too will pass". At this present time you may not think so, but TRUST ME.. it does. After the past 2 weeks that I have had with my family, I didnt' think i would handle it... God finds a way and gives us only the amount we can handle.Be strong and take lots of deep breaths and know we are here for you... IM me if you need me..

TERRY... good luck with the snow.we only had 2 snow days so far. Its seams like winter is coming slow but with a vengence when it does show its ugly head.

ANDY.. you and KAREN should do PT together,,lol She goes 3 days a week still and no work.

MARTY finally had a MRI today after 3 yrs of waiting for the workers comp paper work. We go tomorrow to see the results.

Hi everyone

Is anyone going to the DIS meet in Allentown in July? :confused3 I want to go but don't want to go by myself.

Andy and Karen - hope you feel better soon.

Tina - hope things get better with your DS soon. I know raising children can be very difficult, but hang in there, things usually work out.

I went to the GI doctor today and he scheduled me for an endoscopy next month. :scared1: I am such a big chicken that I will probably worry about it until then. :worried:

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi Bev :wave2:

I was considering going to that but then John surprised me with a trip to Disney World for that same time period. It sounds like a lot of fun though :sunny:

Terry - I'd rather be in Disney World too. I have to wait until August to act "goofy".

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi everyone :wave2:

Remember when I was concerned about having to cancel our Royal Caribbean Cruise because of the kids' snow days? Well since we're due for more snow Thursday night I decided to email the principal to see what he had to say about what they would do in the event of more snow days.

Currently they have 5 snow days, and this means my DSs will be missing a full week of school, (the last week). This is Ok because I know they don't do much that last week, but if they have to miss any more than that, then John and I would have to seriously consider cancelling.

The principal's reply basically said that he "suggest that we NOT cancel our plans" and that the Superintendent of schools does NOT want to extend the school year beyond June 24th (which is their current last day of school), and if necessary they'll have 2-hour-delayed openings instead of cancelling. He said that whichever students can make it to school is fine, but if parents opt to keep their kids home on those days then that's fine too. He did say that they will not be cancelling April spring break because many families already have plans for that week (including us!) so many students would be missing that week anyway. So I'm assuming that barring another BLIZZARD, we'll still be able to go on that cruise :boat:

The principal even mentioned Robby's name saying that since he's only in 8th grade he won't have any final exams to worry about and that Robby has not missed a day of school this year so there's no worry about his attendance record.

So this is good news. :) Now I just have to hope for no more blizzards!! :cold:

Bev: Dis Meet sounds interesting. I don't know anything about it. Where can I find out more information? I am not familar with what your having done so I can only offer you my support. Force yourself into thinking about other things to take your mind off of it. Can someone go with you?

Terry: Glad things worked out with the school. Now plan that cruise and I hope the weatherman was wrong about how much snow your getting. I was wondering who was screaming. Now I know. :rolleyes1

Doreen: Thanks for reminding me. Sometimes we forget these things. How did Marty make out today with the results? :wizard:

Terry, that is great news!!! I just saw on the Weather Channel that the Boston area might only get about 1-3 inches of snow instead of the 12 inches they were calling for earlier. We are now only expected to get rain from this storm, which is fine with me. I don't think my knee could take the strain if I had to shovel more snow right now.

Hi everyone

Terry - glad things worked out with the school. The past three years I went on a cruise the week before the winter break and both Harley and Lindsay missed a week from school. The teachers didn't care because that week and usually by the beginning of June in Philly, most teachers show up but don't want to be there either. :teacher:

Tina - thanks for your support. I'll have to find someone to take me to the hospital and home because the doctor said I can't drive for 12 hours :sad2: after the procedure because of the anesthenia. I have a month to worry about it (and I will) or chicken out. LOL

Tina and anyone else interested in the Allentown DIS meet in July - hopefully this is the link for info. (It worked but I had to copy and paste). Sounds like fun, but I hate to go by myself.

No snow here in Philly, just calling for :umbrella:

Hope everyone has a good evening and :sunny: skies tomorrow.

Thanks Andy for posting the correct website for the DIS meet. Are you going? How is your knee?
