My almost 12 yo is the same way, hope she grows out of it when shes Angenlina age, but I doubt it :rotfl2:

Hi Terry--I'm sure you are going to have a MAGICal time on the Transatlantic Cruise!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Andy!! :)

Hi Terry :wvae2:

Haven't sailed since our 2006 cruise, looking forward to this year Tortola sailing in Aug :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Our 14-night transatlantic will be visiting Tortola, too! Let me know if you do any excursions there. :sunny:

heading to Grand Cayman right now, it's a sea daY today lots of good cruise staff is on board, I'm sure you all remember Pikey, DJ Dan, and Tisa:goodvibes

Glad you're having a good time, Julia!!

Hazel and I will be back on the Magic for our 34th wedding anniversary on 10/24 of this year.

That's great, Andy! Happy Anniversary in advance! :bride: :groom: John and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary next year on the cruise.

Hey all,

How wonderful to see this thread going strong!!!!

Terry.....I am so jealous that you get to do one of the TA crossings.

We wanted to do something different for our cruise next year since we'll be celebrating our 10th, and this TA crossing fit the bill!! :boat:

Lindsay, my mom and I did the TA crossing last time and it was awesome. We are rebooked and going on the same one as Terry and John. Anyone else going??????

82 days until I get married on the WONDER.

:bride: :woohoo: :dance3:  :dancer: party: :jumping1:

So nice to see some familiar faces here! :goodvibes Hi Terry! I see you on the CC RCCL board sometimes. :wave2:

We have no DCL cruises planned at this time. We do have a "dummy" cruise booked, but not sure if we will cancel it or not. This is probably blasphemy for some of you, but although we met the nicest people in the world on the Eastern PC cruise, we found it very difficult to find a place for many of us to just hang out & talk at night. Now that my kids are older, DH & I can stay "out" & not worry, but honestly unless you want your ear drums blown out at RBD, there is no place after midnight. We would hang out in Diversions, but because it was closed we would have to go across to RBD to get drinks & sometimes they would kick us out of Diversions for the teen club to come in or a private party. It was crazy! If the new ships don't have more adult places in the evening, we might have to cancel our dummy cruise.

One more complaint is they changed their Lumiere menu completely & took off some favorites including Grand Marnier Souffle'. All in all, I thought the food went down hill a bit, but the Palo brunch was fantastic! Sorry JMHO...don't shoot me! :goodvibes

We might go on another NCL cruise out of NY to Bermuda in 2010, which means we can drive :drive: & we really like freestyle cruising, but we're waiting to see what RCCL offers when their itineraries come out. ::yes::

Oh BTW my 14 y/o will wear her Northface fleece jacket, but that's it & she refuses to wear even that to the mall, because it's hot & she hates to carry it. Oy! :rolleyes2

Take care everyone! :flower3:

Hope everyone is keeping warm on this cold and snowy day. As a skier I'm used to the cold but man it was quite the shock going outside today to shovel the driveway. But at least the snow is powdery and easy to shovel.

And I just booked my shore excursion for my Grand Cayman day on our cruise this summer.

Julia--you missed a nice big snowstorm that went through Jersey yesterday. We here in South Jersey got about 10 inches of the white stuff.

I can't wait to get to Florida next week!!! :thumbsup2

Enjoy the rest of your B2B cruises!!! ;)

We got about a foot of snow Sunday/into Monday. :cold: Blah! Last Saturday was SO nice, it felt like spring! :flower3: Just a few more weeks and it will officially be spring, but we can still get more snow.

We got good news today; Robby got accepted to his first choice college, UMass-Dartmouth. They have an excellent business school that he'll be attending, majoring in HR management and accounting. We're all very happy and proud of him!! :teacher: We went out to dinner tonight to celebrate. :cheer2: He'll be starting there in the fall.

Hi Diane :wave2:

We enjoy RCI cruises; our most recent was a 9-night Caribbean cruise on the Explorer. We really had an excellent time. We sailed from NJ, so we didn't have to fly, and that was nice. I don't think there's anything wrong with cruising on more than 1 cruise line. :confused3 For our anniversary next year, the DCL 14-night westbound transatlantic was PERFECT so honestly, I didn't even check the other cruise lines to see what they were offering. I know we'll cruise RCI again though; and possibly NCL since they sail right out of Boston (we're only a half hour from Boston). I might want to try the NCL cruise Boston-Bermuda, eventually. :)

You mentioned Palo; I have to say, my DH and I think that Palo is far superior to RCI's specialty restaurant Portofino. Overall DH likes the food better on RCI, but we both agreed about Palo VS Portofino. No contest! lol We're looking forward to going to Palo again next year! ::yes::

Thanks Terry.....I am sooooooooooooo looking forward to getting away from here, if only for 7 days!!! :sunny: and warmer Florida, here I come!!!

I was talking to someone who is on their first DCL cruise and have been on RCCL, they say it's really fun

We have some cruisers from the aug 06 double dip on our aug 09 Tortola cruise. A mini cruisin castaway reunion

Have a MAGICal time all!!! :thumbsup2

Between paying for Angelina's massage therapy school, then start saving up for a wedding within the next couple of years, and me trying to plan for retirement, we probably won't be cruising again until after one of the new ships are sailing........:rolleyes1

Hey Andy! Haven't talked to you in a while. Tell your family I said Hi!

Anyway I know the feeling only here it's braces, college in a couple of years, and still paying my student loans so we're thinking maybe one of the new ships too. Depends on what they offer.

Did you cancel your October cruise?

We'll be in WDW in August for a reunion of sorts with some of our Eastbound PC cruisers. Not a cruise....but should be fun.

Hope all the castaways are doing well! :goodvibes

I've got a cruisin castaway with me on the 8/22 Magic sailing. Wow, has it really been three years since we all sailed together.

Life was crazy this spring. All this rain. I cannot remember a time when its been so wet. My poor vegetable garden is literally rotting away. Now my lawn is turning yellow.

DS "graduated" 8th grade so onto high school in the fall.

Due to the total knee replacement surgery I had three weeks ago, and the 12 weeks I need to take off from work for recovery, some of which is vacation time I have to use, we HAD to cancel our October cruise. By the time I get back to work, I'll be lucky if I have any vacation left for the rest of this year.

I know, it's so hard to believe 3 years have gone by already. :confused3

Whats harder to believe I just finshed an unplanned double dip cruise
It was almost the same as our 2006 cruise. Two stops at CC and Coszmul, only this time it was Grand Cayman instead of Costa Maya

I'm "hoping" to be able to take a 4 day cruise on the Wonder next April for my 55th birthday. :goodvibes
