Andy: Hazel & I would get along great. I can swim somewhat, but I'm a bit chicken. I just drag my chair into the water, sit, watch the kids, & wait for my favorite waiter to come by with a konk cooler! Now that's my idea of heaven on earth! :cloud9:

Diane

Diane....dragging a chair in the water is a favorite of my too. :thumbsup2

Ok Andy,

Tried to figure this one out myself but couldn't!!

Is it that your brother is an actor and he plays Ben Franklin (as in Benjamin Franklin or some other one???!!!) and he is going to Russia on a promotional stunt?? And if that's the case is he flying and stopping along the way? Where will his journey take him? He shouldn't be flying anywhere near the Middle East (unless he has to go there too) where current troubles are (Lord, when will the World wake up and smell the roses?)...

Really curious now!

M.

Karen,

Thank you for the nice quote about my name! I'm kinda used to it now! :rotfl:

Ok, one more for my contribution to 8,400! We have 24/25 days left to post before the cruise and if my calculations are correct we need to be posting about 70 messages a day to hit the 10,000... Can we do it? :teeth:

RobinMarie, how do you work out how many posts people have made? It's fantastic! :thumbsup2

Later...M. :sunny:

Moira,

My brother lives just outside of Philadelphia and was selected by the U.S. State Department to go to Russia to portray Benjamin Franklin at several appearances during his stay there. Rob was recommended to do this from a man named Ralph who is widely known in our area who also portrays Ben Franklin but was not interested in making this trip. Rob's main occupation is being a musician, his part-time job is giving tours of the historic areas of Philadelphia, dressed up in Colonial times attire. Rob just started portraying Ben Franklin less than two years ago at the urging of Ralph who I named above. Rob was on Good Morning America back in January of this year portraying Ben as well. If you would like to see a tiny little clip of that, I can e-mail it to you.

Rob said his flight from New York to Moscow was a direct flight, but he has to make a stop on his flight home where some unrest is taking place in the Southern Caucus of Russia.

Rob was happy to find out that there was a McDonalds restaurant just three blocks from his hotel in Russia. He also has been studying Russia for the past 6 weeks while trying to prepare for this adventure of a lifetime.

Well, you wont have to worry about John parasailing and being afraid, because I will be the one with the loudest scream!!! :rotfl: But if my 13 yr old nephew and my 40 somethings sisters can do it, I certainly cannot chicken out. I'll just have to have a change of clothes and definitely a few cocktails waiting for me. OK, so counting down the days left to work before my maiden voyage. All done shopping and now have to concentrate on exercise and diet, so I can enjoy the vacation in style. Have a great day all and will look forward to the posting ## when I return from work.
Please keep our dad in your prayers today as he is having eye surgery. I couldn't get the day off from my job, so the 2 older grandchildren, my son Russell (21) and Doreen's daughter Jaclyn (17) are taking care of their grandpa this time. He is so good to all of us, so it is their turn to be good to them. Thanks

Hi Everyone!

I haven't posted in quite a long time, but we (DH, DD-8 and DD-11) will be on this cruise. We booked it so long ago that it just didn't seem real! I can't believe it's almost here!!! Now that reality is setting in I need to "get with the program!"

Last cruise we took 2 yrs. ago we stayed at the MCO Hyatt the night before the cruise and took the Disney shuttle to the port. This time we are booked at the Radisson at the Port. What is the best way to get from MCO to the port? Anyone recommend a good company to use for a transfer? (We don't want to do the Mears shuttle thing--would rather pay a little extra for a towncar service).

Thanks in advance!
Michele

P.S. I noticed on some other posts that people have already started booking their shuttle from the Radisson to the port--do you think I'm too late to do that? I didn't realize you could do it weeks in advance--hope it's not filled up!

Good Morning Everyone :wave2:
::yes:: I made it home safe and sound and I now have my dogs with me. I was only able to use Chuck's laptop twice so I see I have some catching up to do. :rolleyes1
At the party we made 2 rows with the grandchildren, sons & spouses the happy couple were announced and he wheeled her in down between the row. They played " September " by Jimmy Durante and she got out of the wheel chair and he held on to her to her during the song. She got her dance and the tears were flowing.
It was a beautiful celebration of there life together. I am blessed I got to see Mom one last time, I thank God for that and all who prayed. I am really tired to say the least and emotionally drained but don't take that as complaining because it's not meant to sound that way.
Chuck will be home sometime Wednesday night ( his birthday ) I still have yet to get him a gift. I have no idea on what to get him. I will try and catch up on the posts later.............Dante wants to take a nap with me. :teeth: I have a doctor's appt. later then training class with him and because he is mad at me I have a feeling he won't listen tonight. Tina

Tina, Glad you are back home. And also that the party went well.... I will continue the daily trend if I remember!
