Calling All 8/19/06 Special Western Cruisers! AKA "The Cruisin' Castaways" Part 2

We plan on arriving home Sept 1, just in time to beat the labor day weekend crush on I-95.

Here's my DOC story...

Got doc packet on Friday and danced.

Stopped dancing when I realized they were for Stan and Sandy only. No me!

Called DCL.

Got a guy who said it was no big deal and what was I worried about.

Called DCL again.

Got a girl who spoke with a supervisor who said there was internal problem with our address and separate docs were sent out for me. This is our 6th cruise and we haven't changed our address. Whatever.

NO docs for me on Sat.

I'll feel better when I get something in my hand. I know my on-line reservation looks fine (I checked) but I'd rather everything be in order.

So, that is my doc story.

Well a lot of you have us beat on leaving early but we won't leave Florida till Sept. 1st. Anybody else staying that long??

We booked 3 days at the Caribbean Beach so we will be heading back to NJ the morning of August 29th.

Thanks for all the welcomes! We are flying down late Fri night after the kids last day of camp. Staying at the MCO Hyatt (got an amazing deal) and then probably doing a Budget rental car.

DH & I have cruised on Disney before. We just left the kids home last time. The kids are looking forward to the pools. They didn't like the one on RCCL. There was only one and it was too deep for my younger son. After watching the DVD last night he can't wait to go!

They are still getting used to the idea that we have been planning this for months. We went so far as to have my older son do a book report on the Mayan Ruins (his teacher had assigned a non-fiction book report) after I gave him some excursion info and asked if he thought it sounded interesting.

For those of you in Massachusetts, we are in Ashland (west of Boston for everyone else).

Darlene, Victoria might switch to her bitty baby if I tell her about Sandy's present. She will love it. You are right, we might be nearing the end of their DOLL DAYS. If I were you, I'd give it to her before you left - I know I would otherwise she'll want to pack another doll or stuffed animal! What a good mommy you are!

I'm not familiar with that thread.

The blabbermouths were the first Double Dippers in May. Their Cruise Meet thread is now called (it was renamed) 06/??/08-Do Over "Il pochi il fiero i blabbermouths" the chatting never stops

The first 45,000 posts were dedicated to May 06, but the new name is all about an unknown sailing date in 06/08.

I thought this thread was hard to keep up, those people were insane!!

When I walked in the door a few minutes ago, I saw these socks on Angelina's feet and I started cracking up........................Oh Tina take a look at this pic, LOL!!!

For those who are not following the other Double Dip threads both the May and June threads have contributed copies of their navigators to the DIS Board Mods. The June DD scanned theirs to PDF and the quality is much better than the ones posted from May.

Although the schedule will be very similar to ours there is always a chance for scheduling changes. Below are the June PDFs for your enjoyment.

My doc story...........I was taking a nap, do you believe that ? I got up and Brooke told me UPS came but it was for ChucK and she put it on his desk. I wen't and looked and it was a small white padded envelope and I guess she couldn't see the small white print that said it was from DCL !!!! Brooke is like well Mom it only had his name on it.
